Before you can manage your kingdom, it is essential to note that you need to finish the Throne Of The Miscellania quest. It is also highly recommended that players complete Royal Trouble for better money while managing their kingdom; managing your kingdom is a great way to earn a significant passive profit in old-school Runescape.
How to Get to Miscellania
The fastest way to get to the castle of Miscellania is through the item called “Ring of Wealth.” You can get this item quickly from the grand exchange, which is located at the barrack with the price of 30,000 GP. Another way to get there is through fairy rings.
The code for this is CIP, and this transportation system is unlocked after players start the Fairy Tale II Cure A Queen quest. You also need permission from a fairy godfather.
Another option is to teleport using your Fremmenik Sea Boots 4; however, this option can only be done when you have finished Fremennik Elite Diaries. The easiest and recommended way to get to the castle of miscellania is by buying the Ring of Wealth and using it to teleport.
Approval Rating
Your kingdom’s approval ratings automatically fall every 24 hours by 2.5%, or 1%, if you finished the royal trouble quest. Your kingdom’s approval rating can be checked in-game by talking to one of the NPCs on the island or talking to Advisor Ghrim. Players can increase the approval rating by helping the subjects of miscellania, and you can do this by completing various tasks.
Most of these tasks have a level requirement or would require the use of some specific tools. These tasks come with experience, but it is not recommended to train your skills. The approval rating done through these tasks will only increase when the subjects recognize your work by saying thanks. Once your approval ratings reach 100%, the subjects in the land would prevent you from doing any more tasks.
How To Get Approval Rating Fast
To get approval ratings in miscellania fast, you would need to complete the tasks that would help the subjects on the island. These are the tasks you can accomplish:
Planting
You can rake the weeds from the herbs and flax plots outside the palace walls. South of the city gates is 1% per 1 weed.
Mining
You can mine coal just at the north of the gates. When you are mining there, it is also possible to mine gems.
You can give the coals and gems to Miner Magnus; you will get 0.75% per coal and around 5% per gem. However, the % of the gem will depend on the gem’s value.
Chopping Trees
Another task you can do is chop maple trees, and these are located in the grove at the center of miscellania. You will get 0.33% per maple log chopped.
Fishing
Getting fish tuna, lobsters, or swordfish off the docks of miscellania can get you 0.33% per 1 fish. The type of fish does not affect the percentage given.
Royal Trouble Quest
If you complete the royal trouble quest, you will get a better option on a different side of the castle. Here are the tasks you can do when you finish the royal trouble quest:
Teak Trees
Cutting teak trees can get you 0.75% per 1 teak log.
Mahogany Trees
Cutting mahogany trees can get you 0.75% per 1 mahogany log.
Farming
If you weed a farming patch, you will get 2.363% per weed, composting a farming patch is 2.363% per compost, supercompost a farming patch is 2.363% per supercompost, and water a farming patch is 2.363% per water.
Managing Miscellania Coffers
The coffers are an investment of coins that you will use to pay off the subjects in the land for their work, and this can be managed by talking to Advisor Ghrim. The salaries are paid out to the subjects every 24 hours in the treasury. The payment time for this is based upon the time of your last wizard. If you complete the quest Throne of Miscellania, this allows the maximum amount to reach 5,000,000 (five million) or 7,500,000 (seven million 500 thousand) gold pieces after Royal Trouble.
We recommend allocating your resources towards herbs and woodcutting.
For the full amount of rewards and collectibles, you can leave more in the coffers so that you don’t need to go back to the island daily. The amount drawn from their coffers is equivalent to 10% of the balance. However, 50,000 coins or 75,000 coins (after finishing royal trouble) is the maximum amount that can be withdrawn from the coffers as a salary every 24 hours. It is highly recommended that players make sure that the full amount is withdrawn every day by having at least 500,000 or 750,000(after royal trouble) gold pieces in the coffers per day.
If you want to deposit the maximum 5,000,000 gold pieces or 7,500,000 (after royal trouble), 90 maximums withdrawal in 91 days will be made without adding to the coffers.
Rewards
You can collect the rewards by talking to Advisor Ghrim. The reward items go directly into the bank and not your inventory, so you must have enough space in your bank to collect these rewards. Collecting these rewards can be done at any time. However, you can gain more resources by collecting less often.
An excellent example of this is if you have ten subjects working on maple wood cutting with a 100% approval rating, you will get 195 maple logs and five birds nests to complete the throne of miscellania only. If you complete royal trouble and throne of miscellania, you will get 892 maple logs and eight birds nests. One bird’s nest is received for every 100 logs. If you collect once a week, you will get 6240 maple logs and 62 birds nest instead of just 56 nests that you will get by collecting every day. It is highly recommended that you put all of your workers in wood cutting because the bird’s nests are worth a lot of money. So I personally allocate my resources towards either Hardwood or Wood and Herbs.
