They have the same rate as the dragon tool in terms of efficiency. When you use these tools they also train secondary stats. The chance of getting the secondary stat is 1/3 which is pretty small. When you get this secondary experience it’s normally only half of what you would receive. It also gives rise in your XP because you do not need to go to the bank. This is because you can consume or cook from your inventory.

Requirement

  • To create and use these tools you need 75 fishing, 85 cooking for the harpoon
  • 61 Wc and 85 fire making for the axe
  • 61 mining and 85 smithing for the pickaxe
  • To make these tools you will need a dragon pickaxe worth 2.9 million, a dragon harpoon worth 984K, and a dragon axe worth 38K. 
  • You will also need a smoldering stone worth 4 million to make them. 

This will add up to 6.9 million for the pickaxe, 4.98 million for the harpoon, and 4.03 million for the axe. 

One downside to these tools is they will degrade over time, so you need to recharge them every time the charges are gone but until then, you can use them as a dragon tool. 

To recharge it, one thing to remember is that you can use another dragon tool instead of a smoldering stone. This can save a lot of money. A pickaxe is going to cost 576 GP per charge, harpoon 196 GP per charge, and axe 7.4 GP per charge.

Comparison

I did 1 hour at the redwood with different axes at level 99 and this is the difference. You can also use it on tick woodcutting and master clue step

  • crystal axe – XP gained per hour – 84.6K
  • dragon axe – XP gained per hour – 73.2K
  • infernal axe – XP gained per hour – 72.3K + 10.7k firemaking exp

I did 1 hour with the sharks with different harpoons at level 99 and this is the difference. You can also use it on two tick swordfish and Tempoross for maximum points.

  • crystal harpoon – XP gained per hour – 22.8K
  • dragon harpoon – XP gained per hour – 20.9K
  • infernal harpoon – XP gained per hour – 20.1K + 6.4k cooking exp

I did 1-hour amethyst at level 91 and this is the stats. I did not do it for other tools because it will be pretty much the same. It can also be used on three tick granite mining.

  • Infernal pickaxe – XP gained per hour – 19.8K

Conclusion

Pretty much the infernal tools are not worth buying unless you have a specific task to do like Tempoross and to alleviate tick Wc and tick mining stress. The only best thing is you can get extra XP from the secondary skill but looking at the cost it is not worth it. The only one that might be worth it in some circumstances is the infernal axe, since it’s a lot cheaper and give firemaking EXP.
