OSRS Arceuus Spellbook Magic Spells Guide

Commonly known as the necromancy spellbook, the Arceuus spellbook can be found by the player when they are within 60% favour with Arceuus. It is a well-balanced spellbook, containing a mix of combat and utility spells.

Teleportation Spells

Teleportation spells will teleport the player to a certain location depending on the spell used. 

Arceuus Home Teleport:

This default teleport spell will send the player to the Dark Altar. It can be unlocked when you’re level 1. It doesn’t require any runes to cast and does not grant any XP when cast. 

Arceuus Library Teleport:

It can be learned when you’re level 6 and requires 2 Earth Runes and 1 Law Rune to cast. It grants 9 XP when cast.

Draynor Manor Teleport:

This spell can be learned when you’re level 17. It requires 1 Earth Rune, 1 Water Rune, and 1 Law Rune to cast. It grants 16 XP when cast.

Battlefront Teleport:

The Battlefront Teleport spell can be learned when you’re level 23. It requires 1 Earth Rune, 1 Fire Rune, and 1 Law Rune to cast. It grants 19 XP when cast. 

Mind Altar Teleport:

The Mind Altar Teleport can be learned when the player is level 28. It requires 1 Law Rune and 2 Mind Runes to cast. It grants 22 XP when cast. 

Respawn Teleport:

The Respawn Teleport spell can be learned when the player is level 34. It requires 1 Law Rune and 1 Soul Rune. It grants 27 XP when it’s cast. 

Salve Graveyard Teleport:

Salve Graveyard Teleport can be learned when the player is level 40 and has completed the quest ‘Priest in Peril’. It requires 1 Law Rune and 2 Soul Runes to cast. It will grant 30 XP. 

Fenkenstrain’s Castle Teleport:

This spell can be learned when the player is level 48 and has completed the quest ‘Priest in Peril’. It requires 1 Body Rune, 1 Law Rune, and 1 Soul Rune. It grants 50 XP when cast.

West Ardougne Teleport:

This teleport spell can be learned when the player is level 61 and has completed the quest ‘Biohazard’. It requires 2 Law Runes, and 2 Soul Runes to cast. It grants 68 XP when cast. 

Harmony Island Teleport:

The Harmony Island Teleport spell can be learned when the player is level 65 and has completed the quest The Great Brain Robbery’. It requires 1 Law Rune, 1 Nature Rune, and 1 Soul Rune to cast. It grants 74 XP when cast.

Cemetary Teleport:

The Cemetary Teleport spell can be learned when the player is level 71. It requires 1 Blood Rune, 1 Law Rune, and 1 Soul Rune to cast. The player earns 82 experience when casting this spell.

Barrows Teleport:

The player can learn this spell when they’re level 83 and has completed the quest ‘Priest in Peril’. It requires 1 Blood Rune, 2 Law Runes, and 2 Soul Runes to cast. It grants 90 XP when cast.

Ape Atoll Teleport:

Finally, the Ape Atoll Teleport spell can be learned when the player is level 90 and has completed both the ‘Monkey Madness I’ quest and received Daero’s training. It requires 2 Blood Runes, 2 Law Runes, and 2 Soul Runes when cast. It grants 100 XP when cast.

Combat Spells

The Arceuus combat spellbook not only has offensive spells, but also support as well. Aside from the Ghostly Grasp and Inferior Demonbane spells, the player has to complete the quest ‘A Kingdom Divided’ to learn the combat spells.

Grasp spells

Grasp spells inflict damage and have a chance to freeze the enemy for a short period of time. If an enemy is under the effect of the Mark of Darkness, the duration and hit chance of the spell is doubled. 

If an enemy is under the Ward of Arceuus spell, the duration of the bind will only last .6 seconds.

Ghostly Grasp:

This spell can be learned when the player is level 35. It requires 4 Air Runes and 1 Chaos Rune to cast. It grants 22.5 XP when cast. It inflicts 15 damage on the enemy and has a 10% chance to bind them for 1.2 seconds.

Skeletal Grasp:

The Skeletal Grasp spell can be learned when the player is level 56. It requires 8 Earth Runes and 1 Death Rune to cast. It gives the plaer 33 XP when cast. The spell inflicts 17 damage on the enemy and has a 25% chance to bind them for 1.8 seconds.

Undead Grasp:

Undead Grasp can be learned when the player is level 79. It requires 12 Fire Runes and 1 Blood Rune to cast and earns the player 46.5 XP. When cast, it inflicts 24 damage on the enemy and has a 50% chance to bind them for 2.4 seconds.

Demonbane spells

Demonbane spells have a 20% accuracy bonus, but can only be cast on demonic creatures. If the enemy is under the effects of the Mark of Darkness spell, there will be a 25% damage bouns and a 40% accuracy bonus. 

Inferior Demonbane:

The Inferior Demonbane spell can be learned when the player is level 44. It requires 4 Fire runes and 1 Chaos Rune to cast. The player earns 27 XP when it’s cast. 16 damage is inflicted on the enemy.

Superior Demonbane:

The Superior Demonbane spell can be learned when the player is level 62. It requires 8 Fire Runes, and 1 Soul Rune to cast and the player earns 38 XP. It will inflict 23 damage on the enemy.

Dark Demonbane:

Finally, Dark Demonbane can be learned by the player when they’re level 82. It requires 12 Fire Runes and 2 Soul Runes and grants the player 43.5 XP when cast. It inflicts 30 damage on the enemy when cast.

Corruption spells

Corruption spells have a chance to inflict the corruption effect on the enemy which will drain a set amount of prayer points from the enemy over a period of time. If a player is under the corruption effect, they can’t cast corruption spells.

Lesser Corruption:

The Lesser Corruption spell can be learned when the player is level 64. It requires 1 Death Rune and 2 Soul Runes to cast and grants 75 XP. There is a 33% chance to corrupt the enemy.

Greater Corruption:

The Greater Corruption spell requires the player to be level 85 to learn. To cast, they must have 1 Blood Rune and 3 Soul Runes and will grant 95 XP. There is a 66% chance to corrupt the enemy.

Ressurection Spells

Ressurection spells allow the player to summon a thrall, but must have the book of the dead in their inventory (which requires the completion of the quest ‘A Kingdom Divided’ to obtain).

Ressurection spells require the use of prayer points along with runes to cast.

The Ghosts have a Magic attack style, the Skeletons have a ranged attack style, and the Zombies have a Melee attack style.

Resurrect Lesser Ghost, Skeleton, and Zombie

The player learn can learn the spells Resurrect Lesser Ghost, Skeleton, and Zombie when they’re level 38. They all require 10 Air Runes, 1 Cosmic Rune, 5 Mind Runes and 2 prayer points to cast. It grants the player 55 XP when cast. The thrall can be hit once before dying.

Resurrect Superior Ghost, Skeleton, and Zombie

The player can then learn the spells Resurrect Superior Ghost, Skeleton, and Zombie when they’re level 57. tehy require 10 Earth Runes, 1 Cosmic Rune, 5 Death Runes, and 4 prayer points to cast. The player earns 70 XP when cast. The thrall can be hit twice before dying.

Resurrect Greater Ghost, Skeleton, and Zombie

When the player is level 76, they can learn the spells Resurrect Greater Ghost, Skeleton, and Zombie. They require 10 Fire Runes, 5 Blood Runes, 1 Cosmic Rune, and 6 prayer points to cast. The player earns 88 XP when the spell is cast. The thrall can be hit three times before dying.

Other combat spells

Dark Lure:

Dark Lure is a spell that lures monsters to attack the player and keeps them from retreating. It can be learned when the player is level 50. It requires 1 Death Rune and 1 Nature to cast and grants 60 XP. 

Mark of Darkness:

A spell that multiplies the damage of certain Arceuus combat spells and provides other debuffs to the enemy. It can be learned when the player is level 59 and requires 1 Cosmic Rune and 1 Soul Rune to cast. and gives 70 XP.

Ward of Arceuus:

The Ward of Arceuus provides several buffs to the caster. Both the player and NPCs can cast it. The player can learn the spell when they’re level 73. It requires 1 Cosmic Rune, 2 Nature Runes, and 4 Soul Runes and gives the player 83 XP.

Utility Spells

With the exception of the Resurrect Crops spell and all the reanimation spells, all the utility spells in this spellbook require the player to complete the ‘A Kingdom Divided’ quest before learning the spells.

Reanimation Spells

Basic Reanimation:

This spell can reanimate goblins, monkeys, imps, minotaurs, scorpions, bears, and unicorns. The player can learn Basic Reanimation when they’re level 16. It requires 4 Body Runes, and 2 Nature Runes to cast and grants the player 32 XP. 

Adept Reanimation:

Adept Reanimation can resurrect dogs, chaos, druids, ogres, giants, elves, trolls, and horrors. It requires the player to be level 41 to learn and 4 Body Runes, 3 Nature Runes, and 1 Soul Rune to cast. It grants 80 XP when cast.

Expert Reanimation:

Expert Reanimation can resurrect Kalphite, dagannoth, bloodveld, TzHaar, and demons. The player must be level 72 to learn the spell. It requires 1 Blood Rune, 3 Nature Runes, and 2 Soul Runes to cast and grants the player 138 XP.

Master Reanimation:

Master Reanimation can resurrect Aviansie, abyssal demons, and dragons. The player must be level 90 to learn the spell. It requires 2 Blood Runes, 4 Nature Runes, and 4 Soul Runes to cast and grants 170 XP.

Offering Spells

Offering spells convert sets of remains into prayer points which grant 3 times the XP compared to burying or scattering remains. 

Demonic Offering:

This spell converts the remains to ashes and can be learned when the player is level 84. It requires 1 Soul Rune and 1 Wrath Rune to cast and grants the player 175 XP.

Sinister Offering:

The Sinister offering converst the remains into bones and the player can learn this spell when they’re level 92. It requires 1 Blood Rune and 1 Wrath Rune and grants 180 XP when cast.

Other Utility Spells

Shadow Veil:

Shadow Veil can gives the caster a 15% chance to avoid being stunned or inflicting damage while pickpocketing NPCs. It can be learned when the player is level 47 magic. It requires 5 Earth Runes, 5 Fire Runes, and 5 Cosmic Runes to cast and grant the player 58 XP.

Vile Vigour:

This spell converts any prayer points the player has into run energy. The player can learn this spell when they’re level 66. It requires 3 Air runes and 1 Soul rune to cast and grants 76 XP.

Degrime:

Cleans all the player’s crops that are within the player’s Herblore level and can be learned when they’re level 70. It requires 4 Earth Runes and 2 Nature Runes to cast and grants 83 XP.

Resurrect Crops:

Has a certain chance to resurrect a dead patch of farmland. The patch will be cleared out if the spell fails. The player must be level 78 to learn this spell. It requires 25 Earth Runes, 8 Blood Runes, 12 Nature Runes, and 8 Soul Runes to cast and gives the player 90 XP.

Death Charge:

This spell will restore 15% of the player’s special attack energy when they kill a monster. The player must be level 80 to learn this spell and requires 1 Blood Rune, 1 Death Rune, and 1 Soul Rune to cast. It will grant the player 90 XP when cast.
