OSRS Top 9 Things To Know About The Isle Of Souls

When most people think about the Isle of Souls, their immediate consideration is Soul Wars. And, while that is an excellent minigame to do, it’s not all there is to this area. In this guide, we’ll be going over everything else that there is to know about the Isle of Souls.

This island has some excellent content for low-level players. This will include how to get to the island itself, different creatures you’ll interact with on the island, as well as some of the various items and loot you’re likely to pick up.

Getting To The Island

There are three ways to reach the Isle of Souls.

The first method is the easiest, which is through the Minigame Teleport in your minigame tab.

The second method is by using the portal in Edgeville.

Finally, you can use the Soul Wars Portal. This portal will take you to either Edgeville or Ferox Enclave. If you teleport to Ferox Enclave, you’ll go down the steps into the cave before going to the portal, which will take you to Soul Wars.

Locations On The Island

Mines

If you head southwest, you’ll find a mine. There, you can mine out various items, including clay, coal, iron, silver, gold, mithril, copper, and tin.

If you go up the hill from the mine and follow the trail to your right, you’ll circle the mine and find an anvil that you can smith. It’s a bit of a trek, but if you want to smith any items, you can super-heat ore and use it to make something.

Fishing Spots

Going south-east, you’ll find great areas for net and bait fishing spots. Northeast of the island you also have some Lobster fishing spots. You also have a big net and harpoon fishing spot southeast of the island.

Isle of Souls Dungeon

East of Soul Wars is the dungeon.

There, you’ll find a variety of monsters, including Lesser Demons, Greater Demons, Fire Giants, Blue Dragons, and Iron Dragons. If you are ever looking to perform a slayer task, these are great areas to go through and farm.

Near the Blue Dragons are adamantine rocks that you can mine. The Iron Dragons have a runite rock that you can mine. There is also a chest between the two dragons that, if opened, has a chance of offering a Dark Key. This is useful for the Crumbling Tower’s basement chests.

You can loot the chest as much as you want, and it has some pretty good items available. Just keep in mind that if you fail a lockpick skill, it will teleport you to the dungeon entrance, and you’ll need to run back through if you want to try for the chest again. Because of this, you’ll want to make sure you have a pretty high Thieving level if you plan on hanging out over here.

Sand Crabs

There are also sand crabs that spawn on the southeast of the island. This sand crab area is not as populated as the other one in Zeah, making this preferable.

Crumbling Tower

All the way north of the island is the Crumbling tower. If you go to the very top floor, you’ll find a pestle and mortar spawn in case you need that. Inside, you’ll find a rope spawn in the upstairs if you need rope. You’ll also find some undead specters that you can kill.

In the basement of the tower, you can find a few additional spawned items and several Dark Chests. You’ll need Dark Keys to open these chests, which you can only get from looting the other dungeons on this island.

One of the walls also has some lore surrounding the island, which you can check out.

Other Locations

Here are a variety of other, smaller areas that, while not super farm-worthy on their own, are still good to check out.

  • Fishing Net Spawn: Located North of the Fishing Spot, a great place to grab a fishing net for catching fish.
  • Hammer Spawn & Broken Potter’s Wheel: In the small ruins right next to the fishing spot and fishing net spawn, you’ll find a hammer spawn. Below that, you’ll find a broken potter’s wheel. You can fix the potter’s wheel with 2 planks, an iron bar, and soft clay. You’ll need a hammer, so grab the one in the room if you don’t have one already.
  • Water Well: If you don’t have any soft clay, you can head up to a small well just north of the ruin. There, you can get water to make soft clay.
  • Crimson Swift Hunter‘s Spot: Further north of the potter’s wheel, you’ll find a Crimson Swift Hunter’s Spot that you can farm.
