Kurask Slayer Guide

Kurask

Kurask has a combat level of 106, and also has 97 hitpoints. You can find Kurask in the Fremennik slayer dungeon or the Iorwerth dungeon. 

Weakness

For the attack style, Kurask’s attack style is melee or crush. It has a maximum hit of 11, and Kurask is also aggressive. Kurask is weak to the magic dart, to leaf-bladed weapons, and broad tipped ammunition.

Required Slayer Level

To kill Kurask, you would want to have a slayer level of at least 70, and killing Kurask will give you 97 Slayer XP. Five different NPCs give the task to kill Kurask in OSRS, who are all slayer masters.

Combat Stats/Weaknesses

When it comes to the combat stats to fight Kurask, it has 105 defense, and level 67 attack. 

Kurask is also low on accuracy. Kurask also does not have any aggressive stats, and for the defensive stats, the defensive stats are weakest at the magic attacks, stabbing attacks, and also on range attacks. The slashing and crush defenses are also not high at both 20. It also does not have any bonus. Kurask is also immune to poison attacks and venom attacks.

The toxic blowpipe, as well as the Saradomin godsword, will not do any damage to Kurask. The special attacks of these weapons are still going to work, and they can still heal your health and also your prayer points.

Recommended Items

Rune Pouch

For your recommended items when killing Kurask, we recommend a rune pouch. A rune pouch can hold three different types of runes in which you can have up to 16,000 of each of these runes. You can get this from the slayer store for 1,250 Slayer points or from the Bounty Hunter store for 1,200,000 points. You can store your high alchemy runes in this rune pouch.

Herb Sack

Kurask drops a lot of herbs so you it would be recommended to bring a herb sack. You can save inventory space with this. You can also store up to 30 of any unnoted grimy herb with this. You can buy the herb sack from the Slayer store for 750 Slayer points, and you need to have level 58 Herblore to purchase it.

Seed Box

Kurask also drops a lot of seeds, so just like herbs, you would also need a seedbox to save inventory space. With a seedbox, you may store an unlimited number of seeds of 6 different kinds of seeds. You can purchase this from Farmer Gricoller for 250 points, or you can get it from the tithe farm minigame.

Gear

Weapon

For the weapons, you would want to get a lead bladed spear. To get this, you are required to have level 55 slayer and 50 for the attack. You can purchase this for 31,000 coins in the Slayer store. This does not really give much attack bonuses, and it is also low on defense bonuses. This weapon is also two-handed. This means that you cannot wear a shield or dragon defender when you carry the lead bladed spear. You only have 5 attack speed.

For the leaf bladed battleaxe, you are required to have level 55 slayer again but level 65 attack this time. You can get this from the grand exchange, and it is also a drop from killing Kurasks or from killing the King Kurask.

For the leaf bladed sword, you need to have level 55 slayer also and only level 50 attack. You can also obtain this from the grand exchange, from killing Kurasks, from killing King Kurask, or Turoth.

You may also use magic to kill Kurask in which you will use the magic dart spell, which you need level 50 magic and level 55 slayer. You also need to wear a slayer staff to use it or slayer staff enchanted or staff of the dead. The slayer staff requires 50 magic and 55 slayers. The slayer staff enchanted requires level 75 magic and level 55 slayer while the staff of the dead requires level 75 magic and also level 75 for the attack. You can also have a magic boost by also using the ancestral armor, the occult necklace, or the tormented bracelet.

For range, you may want to use amethyst broad bolts that require level 61 range and level 65 slayer, or broad bolts that require level 61 range or level 55 slayer. You may also use broad arrows for which you need level 50 range and level 55 slayer to use.

Melee weapons maximize your attack, defense, strength, and prayer bonuses. 

You may use the following for the melee setup: Slayer helm or black mask, amulet of torture or amulet of fury, bandos chestplate, bandos tassets, primordial boots, ferocious, avernic or dragon defender, leaf-bladed battleaxe, infernal or fire cape, berserker ring (i), and rada’s blessing (4).

Ranged Setup

Ranged setup maximize your attack, prayer, as well as your range bonuses. 

Example High Level Ranged Setup

You should use the slayer helm (i) or the black mask (i) for this, the necklace of anguish, the armadyl chestplate, the armadyl chainskirt, the pegasian boots, barrows gloves, twisted buckler, armadyl or dragon hunter Crossbow/Dragon Crossbow or Rune crossbow or even the twisted bow, ava’s assempler, archer’s ring (i), and the amethyst broad bolts.

For the magic setup where you will get attack and magic bonuses, you need to use the slayer helm (i) or the black mask (i) or even the ancestral, then the occult necklace, the ancestral robe top, the ancestral robe bottom, eternal boots, tormented bracelet, arcane, slayer’s staff (enchanted), imbued god cape, seers ring (i), and rada’s blessing (4)

Kurask Location

Fremennik Slayer Dungeon

You can get to the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon by using the Slayer ring that can take you to the Rellekka Slayer Caves, or using the fairy ring coke AJR. You may also use the Rellekka House teleport or the Camelot Teleport Tablet.

Iorwerth Dungeon

To get here, you need to complete the Elves Quest. You have two options for quick transportation to the Iorweth Dungeon: take the Prifddinas House teleport or use the teleport crystal to Prifddinas.
