This is a slayer guide on how to kill gargoyles. You need at least 75 slayer to be able to deal damage to gargoyles.

Gear Setup

You may wear the following: slayer helmet and amulet torture, fire cape, war blessing, proselyte hauberk, abyssal bludgeon, barrows gloves, dragon boots, and berserker ring. Instead of the slayer helmet, you may use the dwarven helmet instead as it gives you a crush bonus. You can also use the serpentine helm if you can afford it.

The amulet of torture may be switched out with fury or glory, and you may switch the fire cape with an obsidian cape that may give you defensive bonuses or a cloak that can give you a prayer bonus.

You may also use a mythical cape instead that can give you a crush bonus. The Berserker ring can be switched out with a tyrannical ring that gives crush bonus.

Proselyte armors are used to save money on prayer potions. If you don’t want to use this, you may use barrows armors instead. Go for something that can give you prayer bonuses as well as defensive bonuses.

Items

To kill gargoyles, you need a rock hammer, which can be purchased from a slayer master.

The abyssal bludgeon is the best weapon that you may use against gargoyles.

You can also bring a whip and a dragon defender or even a dragon scimitar and a defender.

You may also bring a super combat potion with four doses, six prayer potions, about 14 sharks, and a slayer ring to teleport to the Morytania Slayer Tower.

You must also bring the rock hammer and optionally a rune pouch filled with nature and fire runes, and a teleport to house.

Rock Hammer

When the gargoyle reaches below ten health, use the rock hammer on the gargoyle. Or you may also use this very easy method to kill gargoyles in which you may purchase the gargoyle smasher from the slayer store for 120 points. The gargoyle smasher automatically uses the rock hammer on the gargoyle when it is at less than 10 in health.

Location: Slayer Tower

To go to the slayer tower, rub the slayer ring and teleport to the Morytania Slayer Tower. You may also use the dramen staff and a fairy ring with code CKS to get there and then travel by foot. Once you are in the slayer tower, if you are in a slayer test, you kill the gargoyles in the basement area while if you are not, you go to the top floor to kill them.

Climb down the ladder, drink a dose of the super combat potion. The gargoyles are on the eastern side. Make sure to keep your inventory empty for good drops from the gargoyles. If the marble gargoyle appears, pray melee and attack it and avoid its red disc.
