This guide is about everything you need to know when you have a slayer task to kill gargoyles.

Gargoyles Slayer Task

Gargoyles are melee-based monsters that are at level 111. 

Gargoyles can be found in the Canifis Slayer Tower. 

Requirements

You are required to have level 75 Slayer to kill, and you can also kill them only by using a rock hammer. You have to smash the gargoyles when they reach 9 HP; you can unlock Gargoyle smashing perk from a slayer master, so you do not have to do it manually, it costs 120 points. 

You also need to have at least 61 agility in which you get to use a nose peg or a slayer helm.

Priest in Peril is also required for you to be able to access Canifis. You can find them in the basement and the top floor of the Slayer Tower. 

You can only kill the gargoyles in the Canifis Slayer Tower’s basement if you are on a slayer task. 

You get the slayer task from the following NPCs: Yannaka, Caheldar, Konar, Nieve, and Duradel. 

Gargoyles

Gargoyles are also weak against crush weapons. You may also slay gargoyles with different kinds of weapons and styles in which melee and range are popular. Gargoyles are popular to be killed because they give great drops. You can get runes, coins, and alchable items by killing gargoyles. They are very consistent and do not depend on RNG.

Marble gargoyles may also spawn while killing gargoyles in which you can receive a dust battlestaff, a mist battlestaff, and imbued heart, or an eternal gem from the marble gargoyles.

Recommended Stats

It would help if you also had slayer rings as they are great for teleporting, and they can bring you immediately to the front of the Slayer Tower.

You are also recommended to have at least 80 attack, strength, and defense, and at least 55 magic(for high alchemy) and at least 43 prayer.

You might also want to have the Guthan’s full set that gives you a chance to heal on a hit and also lets you stay longer in the slayer tower to kill more gargoyles.

Gear Setup

Prayer Setup

For your gear setup, you might want to wear 

• Imbued slayer helm or the helm of Neitiznot
• Infernal cape or the fire cape or even the skill cape
• Amulet of torture or amulet of fury or an amulet of glory
• Rada’s blessing four or any god blessing
• Ghrazi Rapier, Abyssal bludgeon or Abyssal Whip
• Dragon defender
• Bandos chestplate
• Bandos tassets
• Ferocious gloves or barrows gloves
• Primordial boots or dragon boots
• Berserker ring.

Inventory Setup

For an inventory, bring a rune pouch filled with high alch runes, full guthans, a teleport to house, a lot of food, rock hammer, teleport to Canifis, and two super combat potions. You also need to have empty inventory spaces to store drops from the gargoyles.

Gargoyles Location

To get there, you can use the Slayer ring to get to Morytania, or the fairy ring code BKR. 

Then you have to walk a little bit to the tower. If you have a slayer task and you will kill gargoyles in the basement, you will see a ladder to the basement inside the tower, and you have to go downstairs. 

If you don’t have a slayer task, then you have to go to the top of the tower. You may use the agility shortcut if you have 61 agility. If you use the slayer ring to Morytania, you will be teleported directly to the tower.

You will see a staircase, and you have to go up the staircase. Then you will run east, and you will get to the gargoyles. This is what you do with the agility shortcut.

Without the agility shortcut, you will have to run past the crawling hands and go east. Then you will go south past the banshees. You will see a staircase that you go upstairs then you will see the aberrant staircase in the east. Run through them to the north past the infernal mages and the bloodvelds. Run south and go through the doorway. There are aberrant spectres here too. You will see a staircase that you should go upstairs too. Then you will arrive at the topmost floor.
