You can use blast furnace as a low requirement moneymaker, or you can use it to get fast XP in the game for smithing. You only need half the usual coal required to make bars, and you can also make lots of bars per hour in a blast furnace.

Requirements For Blast Furnace

You need to start the Giant Dwarf Quest to have access to Keldagrim. At this point, they will let you in, and you can start making bars. Unless you make gold bars which do not require coal, you should also get a coal bag.

This bag is a reward from the Motherlode Mine. Without the coal bag, you will cut the experience/money rates in half. You also need to use graceful clothing since you will do a lot of running, except for the graceful gloves. You also need stamina potions.

They cost money, so that’s why some people do not use them, but with stamina potions, you get to run a lot. You also need higher agility to run, the higher, the better.

60 or more for smithing would be better for your blast furnace. You don’t have to pay the foreman 2,500 every 10 minutes.

If you have ice gloves that you can obtain by killing the ice queen who resides in white wolf mountain, you will be able to grab bars, which will make the process faster though you could hold a bucket instead and fill it with water. But this will be slower.

If you plan on smelting gold bars to gain XP, you should get goldsmith gauntlets. You may do this without the gauntlets, but that would be more costly.

Traveling To The Blast Furnace(Blast Furnace Location)

Once you are inside Keldagrim, you need to pick up the quest, The Giant Dwarf.

To do this, you have to speak to the dwarven boatman.

Speak to him until he takes you to a boat ride. You may use the blast furnace mini-game teleport if this is not your first time in Keldagrim to travel all the way there easily. There is also a dwarf who will take you to Keldagrim.

How Blast Furnace Works

There are various blast furnace worlds that you can use where the supply of dwarfs run the furnace for you. It costs 72,000 per hour, but it is worth it as you have to focus only on making bars, and if you make plenty of these bars, you can get your money back.

You can do that unless you make gold bars where you don’t earn money. You still need your ice gloves or a bucket of water for grabbing the bars, but everything else is taken care of for you. You may deposit your coins in the coffer for the dwarfs to run the furnace for you. You can also pay the foreman here if you are under 60 smithing,

Keep your coal bag with you at all times, and you should fill it with coal for every trip that you make. When you are low when it comes to run energy, what you should do is grab a stamina potion.

To deposit, click the belt.

Now that you may remove the confirmation just a little bit faster than it was before, you can shift-click your coal bag then put it on the conveyor belt too.

Retrieving your bars is also a little faster since you can hold down going in, and you can easily collect the bars that were made by clicking on the Bar dispenser.

Afterward, go to a bank and do everything all over again.

How To Make Bars In Blast Furnace

When it comes to the patterns for making each bar, like what ores to take for each inventory.

Steel Bars

Steel bars are really simple. You need one coal per bar. Make sure that you put coal into the furnace before this. Doing so will result in such that you don’t make iron bars. For every trip, fill your coal bag with coal and also in your inventory, bring iron ore. You also collect bars on every trip.

Mithril Bars

For mithril bars, you need to take three trips in which on the first trip, you take one coal in your inventory and another in your bag. Basically, for the first trip, it is two coals, and for the second and third trips, one coal and one mithril each.

Adamant Bars

To make addy bars, you need two trips wherein on the first trip, you need two coals, and on the second trip, you need a coal and an addy ore.

Rune Bars

For rune bars, you are going to take four trips in which for the first trip, you put in two coals, for the second trip, you also take two coals, and for the third trip, you put in coal and rune. Repeat this three times then have an additional rune trip.

Gold Bars

For gold bars, you only bring gold. Unlike the other bars, here you use your goldsmith gauntlet and not a coal bag.

Exp Rates and Profit

These are the estimated rates. However, you need to be a bit experienced in smithing, and you should also have the routine familiarized already to be able to do it swiftly.

The rates may not be the same for everyone. For steel bars, you make up to 4,000 bars per hour with 70,000 XP and 800,000 GP per hour. For mithril bars, you make 3,200 bars and earn 95,000 XP and 900,000 GP per hour. For addy bars, you make around 2,700 bars per hour, 100,000 XP per hour, and 800,000 to 900,000 GP per hour. For rune bars, you make up to 1,700 bars per hour, 85,000 XP per hour, and around 1,000,000 to 1,200,000 GP per hour. And lastly, for gold bars, you make an estimated 5,600 bars per hour, 320,000 XP per hour, and 1,700,000 GP per hour.
