The Tempoross Fishing Method

Tempoross is a skilling boss(like Wintertodt) that requires players to fish paddlefish and dump them into crates on one of the boats to damage Tempoross’ temporary shield. Tempoross has two special attacks – lightning strikes that need to be doused with buckets of water and tidal wave which requires tying oneself to the mast of the ship or totems. It is important to manage the storm intensity meter carefully; if it reaches 100 percent, the fight will fail.

The key to defeating Tempoross is to damage it before it recovers the fourth time, which will gain the maximum amount of points. To achieve this, the Firefighter Method abuses the mechanics of Tempoross by maximizing the number of fish caught and cooked.

The Firefighter Method

Players must run northeast and start fishing paddlefish immediately to use the Firefighter Method. Catch around eight to ten fish and then start cooking them. As soon as the double fish spot appears, start catching fish there. When you have seventeen raw paddlefish, start cooking them.

Spam click to cook your fish after you have been tied down. Run to the ship and dump your cooked fish into a crate. Depositing seventeen fish will damage Tempoross’ shield to 4 percent.

Players should repair the mask and totem if damaged to gain more points. Deposit nineteen cooked paddlefish before storm intensity reaches 100 percent to maximize the points obtained.

Fishing and Fire Propagation Method

Another method for fishing in Tempoross is the Fishing and Fire Propagation Method. To use this method, players must start by putting out all the fires and dropping the lower bucket and hammer, or rope and hammer if they need spirit anglers, to allow their inventory to hold nineteen cooked paddlefish. Similarly, keep fishing and cooking when it is not available. Firefighter abuses a mechanic to keep fires on the other side of the island. you get 40 points per flame that is doused, which we are abusing with this method. • Cut a line to the fires near the water, and leave a stack of fires propagating in the middle of the island.
• Put out every fire up to the boat, then work around the back of the island and back to the middle clump of fires.
• When storm intensity reaches 80 percent, work your way toward the boat.
• Catch one cooked paddlefish or two uncooked paddlefish to finish off Tempoross.
• If there’s extra time, catch more fish for additional points.
• Get on the boat and put out all fires.
• Fish up rewards from the reward pool.
• Spirit flakes are also available from the reward pool.

Fishing with Flakes

At lower levels, 1200 flakes are used to turn an anglers piece into a spirit anglers piece, and 4800 flakes are needed for a full set. 3000 flakes can be used on a hair and pet to color it blue, which can be more stylish than a default white—using flakes while fishing gives a 50 percent chance of doubling the amount of fish caught, regardless of whether it is doubled. Pickpocketing Men & Women In Lumbridge

You will first want to pickpocket Men & Women to reach until you have 230 GP. Out of all the items you have in your inventory, you will only really need your tinderbox, coins, and your bronze axe.

Moreover, make sure to head to your options menu and click on your joystick. From there, toggle the hidden option for the NPC Attack Option. This will prevent you from attacking NPCs as you pickpocket them.

You can pickpocket the level 2 men in the game once you get off Tutorial Island. From there, you will have to do a total of 69 pickpockets to get yourself from 25 GP to 230 GP.

Chopping Trees and Fire-Making

Once you’ve reached 230 GP, you can now prioritize reaching 50 fire-making. To start, go to Bob’s and get a steel axe from there, which you will use to chop trees for. It’s highly recommended to get the steel axe or better for faster chopping rates.

Now, start chopping trees and light the logs on fire until you reach 50 firemaking. In addition, you can find regular trees, oak trees, and willow trees to chop in Lumbridge or Draynor Village.

Get a Shovel and Teleport To Castle Wars

You will also have to visit the Castle Wars bank to obtain four pieces of warm clothing for Wintertodt. But before anything else, you will have to first head over to the shed located in Lumbridge Swamp to get a spade.

Next, go to the minigame teleports and go to Castle Wars.

Getting the Clue Hunter Outfit(Warm Clothing)

The fastest winter clothing pieces you can obtain from here are the clue hunter pieces, which you can dig up with a spade. You can collect various clue hunter pieces from their corresponding locations:

Clue Hunter Cloak: Found between two willow trees at the south-eastern portion of Yanille

Clue Hunter Trousers: Nearby the entrance of Pothole Dungeon, situated at the northern area of Tai Bwo Wannai

Clue Hunter Garb: Located at the north-eastern part of Shayzien minecart station

Clue Hunter Gloves and boots: Found beside an oak tree at the southwestern region of the Fishing Guild

Somewhere between your trip in Ardougne, you can start thieving at the bakery stalls, specifically the one located east of the Marketplace. The main goal is to get as many cakes as possible from the stall. Ideally, you can get around 500 cakes, which will cover you until 99 firemaking.

When stealing cakes, it’s best to stand on top of the cake seller. You’ll never get caught by guards or the seller at all.

You could also just complete the stronghold of security for 10k and buy 800+ pineapples from the Trader Stans Trading Posts Ports NPC’s and slice them and that should last you to at least 90 firemaking at wintertodt.

You will need to use the dock to get yourself to where one of the clue hunter clothing pieces is located. In addition, you will need the 30 GP for the fair when you visit the dock. Once you reach the dock, talk to Captain Barnaby to bring you to Brimhaven, where the trousers are located.

Visit Great Kourend

After collecting all your clothes for Wintertodt, you can now return to Lumbridge. Go to Port Sarim, which is just west of Lumbridge. Visit the southernmost dock in the eastern area to talk to Veos to take you to Great Kourend.

You don’t have to pay a fair to Veos to reach Great Kourend. Once you get there, you can proceed to Wintertodt from Piscarilius House docks and use your minimap as a guide to get to Wintertodt.

On regular servers, you can expect to do up to ten games per hour in Wintertodt. It will take up to fifty hours before you can reach level 99.

Other Helpful Tips

If you started the game during the Christmas or Easter events, you could simply skip getting the clue hunter outfits and the 30 GP. You can just do the stated events to obtain other outfits for Wintertodt. After all, you can use either the Chicken or Santa outfit for Wintertodt since they also work well as winter clothing pieces.

Once you get to Wintertodt, make sure to bring plenty of food with you to avoid dying once your HP becomes low.

All you have to do is have a ring of wealth imbued. This gives you 2x the chance for a clue drop in the wilderness.

The thugs are found in the Edgeville dungeon at level 1 wilderness.

This is the slowest method for clues, but it’s also the easiest. Since the thugs appear near the beginning of the wilderness, you won’t be in much danger. 

They also drop herbs and can be AFK, making this even easier. The average time for getting a clue will be 5 minutes, depending on your combat level. 

HAM Members 

The most common method for finding clues is pickpocketing HAM members. To successfully pickpocket them, you require only 15 thieving. 

This can be a fast method to get easy clues if you are over 15 thieving. 

Despite all the praise, you’ll need to click a lot which can be annoying and damaging to your wrists. You can also be sent to the hideout’s jail or even kicked out if you fail to pickpocket. 

Dorgeshuun Chest 

This method requires:

• Death to the Dorgeshuun quest
• 51 thieving
• A lockpick

The chests you need are on the top floor of the northeast side of Goblin City.

These chests can give you easy clues by just stealing from them. These also reset fast, so other players shouldn’t be a problem.

The speed of the method can reach up to 3 minutes per clue. 

Gourmet Implings

The fastest method goes to buying implings. Opening one gives you a 1/25 chance for a clue.

Despite the speed, few people can catch implings, and the price can shift greatly. It’s still an option if you have some GP to spend, though, but the other methods are better since they are free.

In this guide, we’ll go over winning strategies, as well as the Do’s and Don’ts on how to effectively move through the game even if you’re relatively low level.

What Not To Do

While there are a few things you’ll want to do when doing Soul Wars, there is one thing you definitely should NOT do, and that’s PVP. What You Should Be Doing

There are four ways to help your team members while also gaining zeal when going through the Soul Wars minigame.

1. Capture Areas
2. Burying Bones
3. Sacrificing Soul Fragments
4. Setting Obstacles

#1. Capturing Areas

Probably the trickiest for those at lower levels, you’ll want to only do this option if you’ve got teammates that are willing to work alongside you while running through and doing this. Most opponents will likely be strong enough to do significant damage. You’ll want to allow your stronger teammates to face most enemies while you stay slightly behind to provide support.

Since you don’t need to be the one that “captures” the area so much as someone that “helps capture an area” don’t worry about trying to be a hero.

#2. Burying Bones

Burying bones is a small but consistent method of improving your team’s overall percentage while also granting low-leveled members contribution and zeal. Simply take bones and bury them in any graveyards you and your team currently control. If you don’t currently control many graveyards, try to push with your team to capture an area that does.

The two ways of gathering bones include either killing wolves and collecting their bones when dead, as well as collecting the bones of any player your team has killed shortly after their death.

#3. Sacrificing Soul Fragments

Sacrificing Soul Fragments is a great way to reduce your opponent’s overall team level and help you win the game overall. Like with burying bones, you’ll want to sacrifice soul fragments to an obelisk that your team currently controls rather than one that you don’t currently control.

The process for collecting soul fragments includes killing specters in the various ruins around the Soul Obelisk. This includes the North, South, North Eastern, and South-Eastern ruins. The Northern and Southern ruins offer the most overall, so go for those if you can.

You’ll want to be on the lookout for opposing players throughout this part. If killed, any soul fragments are dropped and available for the other team, something they are well aware of and will aggressively go after you for if possible.

#4. Setting Obstacles 

Finally, setting up obstacles is a great supplementary method for helping your team as a low-level Ironman. You’ll want to make sure you are doing more good than harm by correctly positioning your obstacles in a way that hinders your opponent’s team and not your own.

While setting obstacles themselves do not gain you any points, they significantly help you slow down and even PK some of your opponents, making it a great option overall.

You can get to Tears of Guthix by using a Game’s Necklace or entering through the Lumbridge Swamp.

Before you can play this minigame, you have to complete the Tears of Guthix quest first.

The Tears of Guthix minigame is playable once per week, provided that you have gained 100k EXP or one quest point from the last time you played it.

How To Play Tears of Guthix

For you to understand the flow of the game, here’s how you do it:

• Tell Juna about the tale, and you will receive a bowl from her. (The bowl will give access to the area)

• Collect blue tears coming from the walls as much as you can, considering the time limit.

• Avoid collecting the green tears because it reduces your blue tears.
• The location of the collecting stream will change randomly after every nine seconds.

Notable Facts

The player’s deadline is defined by the number of quest points they have. That means that the more quest points you gain, the further your time duration will be. That being said, higher points equals the more potential tears you will collect. So, you can receive more ticks of time in the location for each of the obtained quest points.

Rewards

When the timer runs out, you will have to exit the game and sip out from your accumulated tears. That will give experience to your most minor skill, the EXP depends on the number of tears you gather and your level in that skill.

So, make sure that you collect the most amount of tears that you can!

This is a guide on setting up Obsidian Armor for Nightmare Zone using melee. This setup is preferred for people under 92 Hitpoints since Dharoks 1hp setup is better otherwise.

NMZ Obsidian Armor Setup 

• Obsidian Helmet
• Obsidian Platebody 
• Obsidian Platelegs
• Berserker necklace
• Barrows gloves
• Dragon boots
• Fire Cape 
• Imbued Berserker Ring

You’ll need a Rock Cake or a Locator Orb, at least a dozen or so doses of the Overload Potion and Absorption potions, so you don’t need prayer/protection prayers. If you want more AFK, skip the overload potions, as you’ll have to refresh it every 5 minutes.

If you do not have enough NMZ points, you can use Prayer Potions instead of Absorption Potions.

How To Get Potions in NMZ

You can get the potions just east of the Dominic Onion guy. Above him is a rewards chest for potions. Click on the chest; it will bring up a screen. You’ll want to choose the benefits option (the last option to click on) then click on it. You can buy doses of the Absorption and Overload potions for 1,000 and 1,500 points, respectively. Collect them from the barrels to the west of Dominic. 

NMZ Bosses

First, you’ll want to talk to Dominic. Select ‘Customizable Hard Rumble’. It will cost 26,000 coins from the coffer. To save time, make sure to store coins in the coffer. 

The easiest bosses to choose are Count Draynor, The Kendel, Khazard Warlord, Black Knight Titan, Bouncer, and the Black Demon.

They don’t have any Special Attacks or anything, so they are easier encounters. Select whatever bosses you want to do, then click accept. 

When you first enter, drink an Overload Potion. It’ll knock your Hitpoints down by about 50. Please wait until it is done knocking your Hitpoints down to eat the Rock Cake. Keep doing this until you get to 1 Hitpoint. Then drink your Absorption Potions. All you need to do now is go between the two bone piles and make sure to click Rapid Heal every 40 or so seconds to stay at 1 Hitpoint and not die.

Alternatively, if you want more AFK, skip the overloads and just go AFK, refresh it after 10 minutes or so by clicking on the rock cake until you are 1 hp, and also drink absorption potion. This is how I leveled all my combat stats to 99.

This is good for farming experience point and being AFK simultaneously. This is especially good if you are under 92 Hitpoints, it could be one of the best experience rates in the entire game, making at least 70k XP an hour for melee.

Item Requirements

Before you can begin using the Blast Mine, there are certain items that you need to acquire first. You will need your Dynamite noted in your inventory, Stamina potions, a chisel, and a tinderbox. Additionally, you should also wear a full Graceful outfit. In regards to accessories, an Explorer’s Ring will aid you in this challenge as well as a Xeric’s Talisman.

Most new players to the Blast Mine might believe that it is necessary to carry a pickaxe. Although many guides available on the Internet have depicted that a pickaxe is necessary, it is not required.

You can carry the pickaxe in your hand if you desire, or have it in your inventory. However, you can use it to obtain the rarest forms of ores in the mine. How To Play Blast Mine

First of all, you will commence in the Blast Mine by using your noted Dynamite on the Bank chest. You will begin in the middle part of the bank and start to chisel. This way, you will excavate the hard rock load up the cavity. From this point forward, you should move to the left and continue chiseling and excavating away. The reason that we are excavating in this order is that you will want to light afterward with the Dynamite. Thus, it is much easier and faster to light the Dynamite from the left to the right if you begin to build it or excavate from right to left.

Once you have finished a row of two or three, you will place the Dynamite in the cavities, light them up, and then move away clockwise to the mine’s other wall. Continue excavating while the Dynamite blows up and releases some items found in the wall. This process will help you dig up the items faster in the mine. Follow the same steps. Excavate from right to left, load up the cavities with Dynamite, and then move left to right to light them up.

Remember to avoid taking damage from the explosion. When you light up the Dynamite, a red area will appear on your screen, which depicts the danger zone of the explosion. If your characters stay within the red zone, you can take damage or even die from the explosion. For this reason, you should always be careful and move away quickly from the explosion to avoid the aftermath. However, if you are caught within the explosion zone, you take between 30 to 15 damage. Either way, after the Dynamite has exploded and release various items in a specific zone, you can begin to pick up your rewards.

Requirements

First, to complete the mini-game, there’s no official fishing level required, but if you want to get fish, you will need to have 15+ fishing –the fish you receive based on your fishing level.

It is recommended to do Fishing Trawler as soon as possible to get the Angler’s outfit because even at level 99, you don’t get excellent rewards in terms of fish. 

You will also need a 

• bailing bucket, 
• a rope, and lastly, 
• between 750 and 2,000 of swamp paste –make sure it’s paste and not tar; they look very similar. You can either get this at the Grand Exchange or the general store.

Fishing Trawler Location

The easiest way to get to the mini-game is by using the mini-game teleport, which requires level 15 fishing. If you don’t have that level, there are a few other options, such as charters.

Once you are there, head south, you will come across a general shop; you will see two types of buckets. You will want to go for the one that says bailing bucket. You will also see that you can purchase swamp paste off there as well, so if you are an ironman, you can go ahead and buy your swamp paste there.

* A good tip for when the general store is short of the stock is going to a different world because otherwise, you’ll end up wasting a lot of money.

If you head north, you will see that there is a Bank Chest. You can go there from in-between your trips if you need, for example, to deposit some fish or get more rope.

Once you have all your inventory sorted out, run northeast towards the boat. Board the gangplank, and once you get on, it’s most likely going to tell you that there’s someone already on the fishing trip. It can be anywhere from 1 to 13 minutes in terms of how long you will have to wait.

Climb down the ladder, wait until the fishing trip is over, and then hop right in.

Fishing Trawler Minigame

Go to the top right-hand corner and click the camera button, so that your camera doesn’t shake while you’re on the fishing trawler. If you look at the top of the screen, you will see a couple of indicators.

The first one shows how much water there’s in the boat. Then it shows the status of the net, how many fish you’ve got, the time left, and finally, your activity bar.

Keep an eye out for the activity bar because if it goes below zero, you will get kicked out. You can gain activity by doing as little as just filling the leak or repairing the net. What you have to do is zoom-in and click on the line between two spots so that you can fill the leak on either one of the two.

Once you’ve reached full activity, you can AFK for a few minutes if you want.

Once the time left shows under 1 minute, you should go up the west ladder and spam left-click inspect on the trawler net because if the net is ripped at the end of the trip, sadly, you won’t receive any of your Angler outfit or any fish.

Expected Rewards

As expected, the number one reward you can get from the mini-game is the Angler’s outfit. You will have one out of 8 chance of getting a piece of the outfit that you don’t already have, i.e., if you get the hat, you won’t get another hat until you get the let says the boots.

If you are lucky and get a piece of 1 out of every eight trips, you will get the whole Angler’s outfit on average after 7 hours. Of course, this can vary greatly and take you as little as 2 hours or worst-case scenario, or over 15 hours if you’re unlucky.

Another reward that you will get is fish, depending on your level. There are several types of raw fish, and you’ll also be getting some junk items, but most likely, you’re going to have to discard or drop them.

You will have to complete the icthlarin’s little helper quest beforehand to unlock access to the city of sophanem. Additionally, if you want bank access while in this area, you will need to complete the contact quest.

Suppose you are lower level and intend to use prayer while playing the pyramid plunder. In that case, you must complete any of the ardougne diaries to teleport to the monastery and restore your prayer points.

You only need level 21 thieving to access the first room of the game. Still, it’s strongly recommended to have at least level 71 because lower levels give you access to a minimum amount of rooms, meaning that the XP you will get per hour will drop significantly.

• keep in mind that boosts don’t work to go to another room; you must have the level required to enter that room.

Recommended Armor

You should focus on using weight-reducing gear to keep your run energy long and as high as possible. A good option uses full graceful, but boots of lightness and the spottier cape are suitable replacements.

For the anti-poison, you can either use antidotes ++ or a serpentine helm.

A prayer book or holy symbol will save you some food overtime. If you can wear and hp cape or a regen bracelet, you are encouraged to help your health regenerate quicker.

Make sure to bring the following items on your inventory:

• Food.
• 1 or 2 stamina potion. You can also restore your energy every time you bank.
• Emergency teleport. If you die in the pyramid, you will lose all of your items, so bring this teleport if you have to use it.

If you are lower level and you’re protecting from melee, bring some prayer potions to extend your trips.

Bringing a lockpick will increase the chances of picking the doors to the next room, but it will decrease your XP per hour.

Pyramid Plunder Location

There are a few ways to get to the jalsavrah pyramid in sophanem. The easiest option is through carpet rides. The first thing you need to do is travel to the shantay pass, which you can do by using a ring of dueling to travel to the dueling arena or using a ring of glory to get you to al kharid.

Once you are at shantay pass, take a carpet ride to pollnivneach, run south and take another carpet ride to sophanem.

• to get cheaper carpet rides, complete the feud quest if you want carpet rides for the free, complete desert hard diary.

You can also use the elite version of the desert amulet to teleport to nardah and then run towards the pyramid.

The pharaoh’s scepter will also teleport you right in front of the pyramid.

How To Play Pyramid Plunder

To start with the minigame, locate the mummy in either of the four entrances to the pyramid. Be aware that at random points in time, the mummy will change locations. When you start the game, you will be teleported inside the temple when your 5-minute timers will kick-off.

Depending on your thieving level, you will be granted access to a given amount of rooms. This means that to get the maximum amount of XP per hour, you need all these rooms completely. The first thing you need in each room is to disable the spike traps by clicking on the first set of traps. If you click on the second one, it will automatically bounce back.

Once you have completed the first room, move onto the next by pick-locking the wall’s doors. If it is the correct door, you will automatically be teleported to the next room.

When you reach your second to last room, loot the urns and then the gold chests. Don’t forget to watch your timer; if you have taken longer than necessary looting or finding the next room, it might be better to move onto the final room right away, since that one will give you more XP.

Loot

There are two main drops at the pyramid plunder minigame. The first is the pharaoh’s scepter, which has a 1 in 1,000 drop rate for each gold chest or sarcophagus your loot. You will also have a chance to receive statuettes and scarabs from the urns you are looting and turn in at Simon Templeton to get some cold coins.
