The cave bugs slayer task is a low-level task, and the only requirement is 7 slayers and a light source. This is a pretty quick and easy task because cave bugs are weak to everything. It has a melee attack style with a maximum hit of 1.

Cave Bugs Location

You need to get to Lumbridge to get to the cave bugs. For this, you can use

  • Lumbridge teleport – Fastest way to get to Lumbridge but cannot be used after level 20 wilderness
  • Lumbridge teleport (tablet) – A magic tablet that can be broken to be teleported to the Lumbridge Castle
  • Lumbridge home teleport – Free transport that can be used every 30 minutes

Inventory Setup & Tips

Make sure to wear a Spiny helmet or slayer helmet and bring a light source, tinderbox, and rope.

Once you reach Lumbridge, run to the cave bugs. You need to have a few items in your inventory: runes for teleporting to lumbridge, a slayer ring is recommended, a light source to use inside the cave, a rope to climb down, a tinderbox and stamina potion, and a spiny helmet(or slayer helmet). This helmet is pretty important to reduce damage from wall beasts. If you are not wearing a spiny helmet, you will get 15 damage which is not good. There will be several cave bugs nearby each other so it’s pretty easy to detect them. You can also boost potions like super strength and super attack to get more damage, but it is unnecessary.

Equipment Options

For melee equipment, you can use low-level gear up to mid-level gear. You can choose a mithril scimitar, mithril armor, and an amulet of strength for low-level gear. You can use a dragon scimitar, dragon armor, ring of wealth, and an amulet of glory for mid-range gear.

You can choose snakeskin armor, mithril darts, and amulet of glory for low-level gear for range equipment. You can choose adamant darts, amulet of fury, and best D’hide armor for mid-level.
