In OSRS, it is possible to have an alternate account, which can be anything you want it to be. In simpler terms, an alt account is just another account that you can play OSRS in a different way you usually play or invest your time. However, the purpose of this guide is on how to build an alt account for money-making.
Ideally, most players use these money-making alt accounts to fund specific tasks in their main account, such as resources for crafting, ore or iron bars for smelting steel bars, and more. Thus, it is essential to know how AFK some methods are or if you can multitask.
Top AFK Alt Accounts
Tele Tabs Alt
There is a magic method with some mid-level requirements. Making Tele Tabs in your house is an excellent AFK money-maker that provides a decent magic experience. To do this, you must be at a high Construction level. Ideally, you would need to be at least level 67 Construction. If you supply resources from your main account, you could easily reach this level in your alt account, and it is relatively inexpensive.
When you reach level 40 Magic or more, you can start building house tabs that are very high in demand. Thus, you will be able to make a decent profit. You can craft these tabs until you reach level 60 Magic or more. You can then transition to Bones to Peaches for more profit, however, to unlock the spell. You would need to do the “Mage Training Area” missions to have access to it. Usually, most players tend to avoid this spell due to the quests, but you will have to complete all queests for your main account’s progress eventually.
You can make up to 1400 tabs an hour when you have a butler. At the moment, the house tabs will bestow to you 300k GP an hour and 42k experience an hour. Both Peaches tabs are a little closer to 600k GP an hour so that you will be doubling your profit and more experience points as well, at 50k experience per hour.
The Tele Tabs are very AFK and have low requirements, and the profit is acceptable in the long run. Overall, they can provide you with 250k to 600k GP, and it is a remotely cheap method to start. Since you need mid-level Magic and Construction requirements, it is easy to unlock, and their AFK ability makes them more worth it.
Blast Furnace Alt
The Blast Furnace may be the least AFK you can do in your alt account. Some players use the blast furnace in their alt accounts to make money while training the Slayer life skill and want to save up on the Loot tab without having to sell their loot. Since you need a lot of resources to increase your Slayer rank to level 99, the blast furnace can give a considerable amount of the needed supplies.
To use the Blast Furnace, you need very low requirements, so it is easy to unlock it in OSRS. First, you must be at level 30 Smithing or more to have access to steel bars, which are obtained by smelting one coal and one iron bar together. Then, you should unlock and grind for the Coal Bag from the Motherlode Mine. I have known players who have been able to unlock the Coal Bag after a day or so in the Motherlode Mine.
Having a high Agility will also help you in your Blast Furnace speeds, especially if you were to obtain your Graceful clothing. Nevertheless, it is not necessary to have it in any Alt account. On the other hand, having any agility will help you with your speeds. Therefore, if you were to do 10 minutes here and there to improve your Agility rank and level it up a bit, you will improve your gameplay in the Blast Furnace.
Blast furnace can make you a lot of money from pretty low levels, and even if you are trying to do something else in your main account, you could cut the rates in half and still be acquiring solid bonus cash. The potential, in the long run, is to earn up to 1 million or more in an hour with rune bars.
However, these have a higher level requirement, and you must be able to multitask to do some skills as well. This ultimately depends on what you are doing on your main account. Thus, if you are doing some tedious leveling, you can use that time to make money in your alt account.
Giant Mole Alt
The Giant Mole is a pretty easy boss that can be multitasked fairly easily. To slay the Giant Mole, it does not require very high stats, but most players advise having at least a 70 level Attack, Strength, and Defense so that you can wear Dharok’s gear. It is also recommended to have Falador Hard Diaries complete because you will have the Falador Shield. This item will show you where the Giant Mole is in his lair.
The Giant Mole also drops noted mole claws and mole skins if you have Hard Diaries completed, and this will make for much longer trips. Overall, all these items and quests add more requirements to the list, but the kills and amount of cash you will earn will be slower compared to the amount you can make with all the previous items and levels.
In general, the Giant Mole has minimal KO potential. However, if he can knock you out, it is straightforward to get back in time to grab your items. Thus, it should not be your primary concern when fighting the Giant Mole. Additionally, the Mole has a consistent cash flow since the money is based on a 100% drop. It is unlikely to make more than a million in an hour, especially if you do not max in combat or possess top-tier gear. Nevertheless, since this is considered bonus money and you do this from your alt account, it is an excellent method.
Also, the Giant Mole drops a pet, and many players see this as a turn-off since it is best to have pets on your main account than on your Alt account.
Fletching Alt
Fletching is another excellent method to make money in your Alt account. However, you should mainly focus on cutting logs and using them to make unstrung bows. Most logs that are transformed into unstrung longbows make an acceptable profit, but you will only see a true profit when you begin to make maple bows. Afterward, your best option for AFK fletching money-making is the Yew Longbows.
To make Yew Longbows, you will need to be at least level 70 Fletching, but you can easily reach this level in an Alt account in less than 24 hours. Thus, you should not see this level as an impediment to trying this money-making method. You will be able to make between 150k to 250k GP in an hour, and it is quite easy to start. This is because you do not need a big cash stack to get started. After all, the Yew Logs are rather cheap, despite needing a high level to make them.
Additionally, when you start, the maple logs can be considered as free items due to their low price in general. This is an excellent method because of the low requirements and the ability to AFK with Maple and Yew Longbows. Additionally, you can also string bows to make extra profit, but you can only string 14 bows per inventory. On the other hand, when you cut logs and make them into unstrung bows, you can get 27 per inventory. Therefore, you do make more money from unstrung bows than from stringing bows.
Overall, you will have more time to AFK Fletching and increase your base profit. The amount of money you will make always depends on the bows’ price when you buy and sell the bows. As said previously, you can make roughly 150k to 250k an hour, but sometimes the prices of the bows increase in the market, and you can make even more profit.
Since you can make a lot more money from other types of alt accounts, some players disregard this method many times. But its low requirements make it easier to use it at the beginning and then move on to another type of money-making alt account later on. Therefore, if you are thinking of making an Alt account for the first time and have no idea where to start making money, consider Fletching as a great option.
