The Wolf Slayer task is usually something you do not want to skip. It is a task that takes very little to complete because wolves are easy to kill and you do not get assigned too many of them. You can expect an average of 30 wolves killed in 10 minutes. The loot they drop is not that impressive since they can only drop wolf bone, a looting bag, or a clue scroll.

Inventory

• Super set. If you have attack and defense around 30, you will want a superset to boost your combat stats.
• Food. Wolves are generally low level and have a max hit of 2. You will not get a lot of damage but you will need some food to manage your health.
• Decent melee gear. You can kill wolves with a melee setup and generally it is faster than ranged since you will not have the opportunity to safespot them.

Wolves Location

There are several locations where you can find wolves. The recommended place is in the Stronghold of Security. Only the wolves here can drop clue scrolls.

You can walk there from Varrock, or use the Fairy ring code DKR, the Skills necklace, the Ring of Wealth, or the Balloon transportation system. Once in Varrock, you need to go west. The Barbarian Village is just west of Varrock. Inside the village, you will find a small entrance that will lead you underground in the Stronghold of Security.

How to Kill Wolves

Killing wolves is as straightforward as it gets. They are found in the first level of the Stronghold of Security. The entire level is cluttered with wolves. They are not aggressive thus you will need to initiate the attack. Remember to keep an eye on your health, use your Superset and look for clue scrolls as they can drop from the wolves found here. Take your time and kill one at a time until you complete your task.

If you wish to AFK instead, you can go to white wolf mountain, since the White wolves there are aggressive.
