OSRS Thieving Vyres Guide (Blood Shards)

Today I’m going to show you how to pickpocket Vyres for blood shards which came with the Darkmeyer update.

Requirements

  • 82+ thieving(99 recommended)
  • Sins of the Father quest
  • Rogues outfit
  • A kingdom divided quest(shadow veil spell)
  • 47 magic

The Rouge’s outfit doubles the loot you get. By pickpocketing Vyres, you get 2 blood shards and 80 million GP with one pickpocket. The chances are still low though, a blood shard has a 1/6k chance of dropping. 

To increase your chances of success, use dodgy necklaces. This gives you a 25% chance to prevent stun by Vyres when failing to pickpocket. They will hit 5 times if you get stunned. So you’ll have to wait a couple of seconds before trying again. When damaged heal with Sardomin brew. These two items alone cost around 150k each, so be sure to get the blood shards back the money lost. 

When running there use vyre clothing

After you are there take out dodgy necklaces and jugs of wine from the bank

You can also complete the Ardougne Diaries to gain an additional 15% chance of successfully pickpocketing an NPC.

Next, bring a wire set so Vyres won’t attack before you reach them. Use the dragon’s medallion to get to Darkmeyer where Vyres is.

if you have an ornate pool at your player home, you could teleport to your house, heal and go back to Darkmeyer or even the bank.

Pickpocketing Results

Highlight the NPC with the shift button and tag them. Find Vyres and begin pickpocketing as much as you can. I managed to trap Vallessia.

Depending on your success and speed, you can expect around 140k thieving EXP per hour. Make sure you cast shadow veil, before attempting to pickpocket.

During the 30 minutes, I pickpocketed 256 times. If you want the blood shard with 6k pickpockets that would take 12 hours. That’s 1.5 million GP per hour. When I did a regular hour I got 300k, but over time it averages out because the blood shard is worth so much. When you get the blood shard, because you have a rogues outfit, you will get two blood shards instead.
