OSRS Temple Trekking Guide(Lumberjack Outfit)

Requirements

The first thing you need to do to start Temple Trekking is at least starting the Aid of the Myreque quest, up to the point where you can enter the Burgh de Rott city. The quest has very low requirements, so you should be able to get through it without major complications.

Remember that you will lose all of your items and your hardcore status if you die in the mini-game.

Temple Trekking Location

Temple Trekking is located in Burgh de Rott, just south of Mort’ton.

Inventory

Once you’re granted access into the city, there are a couple of things that you will need to bring with you:

  • Weapon. You will need one to kill level 30 undead lumberjacks with ten hit points. They are weak, so that you won’t need any advanced or expensive weapons. You could bring, for example, a dragon scimitar.
  • Weight reducing armor. The boots of lightness and the spottier cape are good choices.
  • Saradomin Brews. This is completely optional, only needed if you are lower level. See it as emergency food that you might or might not need.
  • Teleports to Burgh de Rott. You are going to need several of these. The best option that you have is bringing 3 or 4 Morytania legs from the diary, which will give you unlimited teleports to Burgh de Rott. You can also make 20 to 30 barrows teleports at level 83 magic or buy them from the Grand Exchange for 2,000 coins.
  • Stamina pots.

How to Play Temple Trekking

When you get to the city, you will see many NPCs walking around the northwestern side. You will have to escort either two of them; Fyiona Fray or Dalcian Fang.

You will see the option to do so when you right-click on them. Whichever one you choose is good.

After choosing the escort option, go through all the dialogue, which will take you to a cut-scene. The NPC will ask you which route to take, skip through all the dialogue until a map is displayed. Choose route number 1; the chess piece will move along the map, and in time an exclamation mark will pop-up.

You will then be taken to a random event. There are three different scenarios that you will be faced with.

The first one will be the combat random event where you will be placed in a room with six monsters –vampyre juvinates, ghasts, shades, swamp snakes, giant snails, and nail beasts.

All you need to do to get through it is head towards the most eastern or western side of the room, and click the green rocks on the ground to evade the room.

The second random event that you might encounter is the bog or river room. There are a few ways to get through this scenario, but they are all very time-consuming, and most of the time, you will be facing a dead-end(if you are going for the Lumberjacks Outfit).

You can also choose to do it, in that case you need to walk through the puddle until you get the right path to the other side. If you end up in this random event, it is recommended to just teleport back to Burgh de Rott and restart the mini-game.

The last option you may come across is the random bridge event. This is the room you need to pay attention to because this is the one that will allow you to get one of the four pieces of the lumberjack outfit at random.

However, if you see dead trees in the room(shown above), it means that the room is a dead-end(if you are going for the Lumberjacks outfit), and you will need to teleport back to Burgh de Rott and restart the mini-game. If the bridge room random event doesn’t have any dead trees in it, you will have practically struck gold.

When you finally get in that room, the thing you have to do is skipped through all the dialogue until you see the undead lumberjacks come out of the water.

To get the lumberjack piece, you will need to kill all of them. Once you get one of the four pieces, teleport back to Burgh de Rott and repeat the mini-game until you get the whole lumberjack outfit.

If you kill all the five undead lumberjacks that come out of the water and you don’t receive any of the four pieces, wait for about 30 seconds, and another set of 5 undead lumberjacks will come out of the water, giving you another chance to get that piece.
