This guide is about how to do the Soul Bearer mini-quest in Old School Runescape. This mini-quest is useful because you can get the Soul Bearer item from this quest. This item allows you to send ensouled heads that you get when you do slayer tasks straight to the bank. This saves you inventory space when you do slayer tasks.

Soul Bearer Guide

When you do this quest, you may want to bring some stamina potions and items for you to obtain the Arceuus Library. You may use the fairy ring code CIS.

You may also bring the Dramen staff. You may also bring 80,000 coins if you do not have the fairy ring unlocked then, speak to an NPC to permanently unlock the fairy ring. You may also bring with you some teleports to a house and a dusty key. If you have 65 or 70 agility and for 65, you use a +5 boost, you do not need to bring the dusty key with you.

Dusty Key

To get the dusty key, you might want to go to a dungeon and run to the Black Knights base. You might want to bring a stamina poison with you.

Kill the jailor to get the jail key and use it to open the southern door to access Velrak, the explorer. Ask if there is anything to explore in the dungeon, then say yes, please, and you will receive a dusty key.

You must also bring an anti-dragon shield and a Falador teleport. If you are at a lower level, you may want to bring an anti-poison and some sharks.

Once you have all the items, be on the rune lite client to find books faster in the Arceuus Library. Get it because it will only take you around 2 to 5 minutes to find the book in the Arceuus Library. You may also find the book manually instead of without the client.

Arceuus Library

When you are at the Arceuus library and have the client, there is a feature in the client that enables you to find the book, Soul Journey, a lot faster. You must search the white squares, which are possible locations of where the book can be.

Keep searching the bookcases until you find the book called Soul Journey. You may also look for a book called Transportation Incantations as this book is also very beneficial. Read the book and then go to the Soul Altar.

From the fairy ring, just run east and you will see a break in the path. Just keep running east. There are skeletons in the path, but they are not aggressive. You will see a purple spell book sign. When you see it, run northeast, and you will see snowy patches and continue to the east.

You will see a shortcut sign, but do not take it. You need to head south and drink a dose of your stamina potion. Keep running south on the eastern side of the mountain.

You will see a symbol on your sign and an NPC named Aretha. Speak to Athera and click the option I’ve read your book Journey of Souls. Go through the dialog again then click Yes. Finish the conversation then get to the building with the prayer sign. You may also use the bear raincoat CIS.

Once you get to your target location, open the door, then climb the stairs. Go north and use the stairs on the eastern side. Dig your spade, and you will get a damaged soul bear. Then go to the key master in the Taverley Dungeon. You may also use a Taverley teleport to reach this area.

Taverley Dungeon

When you reach the Taverley Dungeon, you can drop all your books here because you don’t need them anymore, and you could also wear your anti-dragon shield then climb down the ladder.

If you 70 agility, use the obstacle pipe. If you have 80 agility, you may use the strange floor agility sign. Run north through the hellhounds. If you don’t have 70 or 80 agility, navigate through the dungeon.

Drink a dose of your stamina potion and open the prison door on the eastern side. Run through the southern passage and keep running east. There will be a small break in the path, but you run south.

There is an agility sign that you can use if you have 63 agility. If you don’t, keep running south, and there is a break in the path, but you have to keep running near the lava. Go west, and you will find scorpions.

Run past the bridge and go north. If you don’t have the dusty key, keep running south into the Black Knights forest base and kill the jailor. If you have it already, keep running north.

Use the dusty key to open the gate, and you will enter the blue dragon’s room. Run west then run south as you see a break in the path. Keep going through.

The monsters here would not do much damage to you. Go north, and you will see poison spiders. If you get poisoned, drink your anti-poison. Run north past the hellhounds, and you will see a dungeon sign. Crawl through the cave.

Cave

Once inside the cave, run north until you find the yellow NPC in the middle. Speak to the key master and go through all the dialogue. Your soul bearer will be completely fixed afterward, and you can now use your soul bearer for slayer tasks. It can hold up to 1,000 charges. One charge costs one blood rune and one soul rune.
