Most Slayer tasks are easy to do if you know the locations and what you need to take with you. Kalphites are one such example. They are easy to kill and require minimal preparation. You can farm Kalphites at all levels. If you do not like this task, you can farm the low-level Kalphites as they are very easy to kill, meaning that you get Slayer points very fast. On the other hand, if you decide to farm higher-level Kaphites, you will earn a decent amount of XP. Regardless of which ones you want to kill, make sure you bring some of the recommended items below.

Location
Shantay Pass
You can get here with a Ring of Dueling and teleport to the Duel Arena. From there, you just walk south. The second option to the Shantay Pass is to use the Fairy Ring – BIQ. In this area, you will find that there are two places where you can kill Kalphites: the Kalphite Lair and Kalphite Cave.
For the Kalphite Lair, you will need a rope. You will find it northeast of Bedabin Camp in the Kharidian Desert. If you get here, you can also kill the Kaphite Queen. However, you will need a second rope for the queen, but it would be advisable to skip the queen if your focus is on getting Slayer points. You can stick with the upper layer to find Kalphite Workers and Kalphite Soldiers.
These two are the most popular ones for players looking to complete the Slayer task. You can bring a cannon to speed up your farming for this zone. Keep in mind that the workers are lower level than warriors, and thus they are easier to kill, but they award less XP. Remember to avoid Kalphite Guardians as they have very high defense, and their drop rates are the same as for warriors and workers.
For the Kalphite Cave, you will need to travel just outside the Shantay Pass and look for the cave to the east side. Remember to have a cannon with you and cannonballs. You will also want to have some prayer potions. Also, you will want to bring along some antidote potions as higher-level Kalphites will deal poison damage.
Once inside the cave, you should go to the northeast or southeast. In these areas, you will find the Kalphite Soldiers. In the cave, you can also find Kalphite Workers and Guardians. You will want to skip both of these and focus on the Kalphite Soldiers. They are the higher-level variants out of the three and do poison damage. The ideal spot to place your cannon to farm Kalphite soldiers is in the middle of the northeastern corner.
Tips
- The task is much easier if you have a dragon scimitar or better. You do need to have 60 Attack to use it, and you need to have completed the Monkey Madness I quest. However, you can complete the task without the dragon scimitar.
- The best attack style for this task is the crush. Crush is the preferred attack style because it slightly boosts the upgrade from the abyssal whip.
- You should focus on setups with defense. You can go for a prayer setup for melee, but the main focus should be defense and strength. If you are low level, you may want to avoid a range setup, making your farming less effective. With a good setup, you can make around 17K XP per hour at level 60 and 21K XP per hour at level 80.
- You can bring Piety and a Cannon to maximize your XP per hour. You can get around 60K XP per hour or somewhere around that number if you have both.
- Kalphites do not drop much of anything that would be considered valuable. Do not focus on loot. The main reason you would farm Kalphites is for Slayer points and some XP.
- Do not forget to get Antidote potions. While you may be tempted to skip them, you will need them. Even if you bring a cannon and farm them with a ranged setup, you will still find that antidote potions are a must. Kalphite Warriors are higher level, and they can do poison damage.
