Ecumenical keys are used to gain instant access into a god war boss room without any kill count. They are useful for bosses such as the Saradomin boss and the Armadyl boss because the kill count takes a very long time and uses a lot of food, and therefore the keys will shorten your trip to the boss. If you die, ecumenical keys will allow you to go back and retrieve your items from the boss room without getting any kill count. Facts About Ecumenical Keys

• They are an excellent money-making method for iron men. 
• Although they are still a good source of money for a normal account, they are especially beneficial to iron men since they don’t have access to the grand exchange. Therefore, the alchemy value comes in handy. 
• You are unable to buy ecumenical keys on the grand exchange.

How To Get Ecumenical Keys

You must kill followers in the Wilderness God Wars Dungeon to obtain ecumenical keys. 

Before initiating this task, you must have both strength and agility levels of at least 60 to enter the God Wars Dungeon and obtain your keys.

The fastest way to get the Wilderness God Wars Dungeon is to go to the grand exchange, buy yourself a cemetery teleport tablet, and then run east.

Another quick way to get there is to use a direct teleport, found in the Ancient Spellbook.

Teleport tabs can be purchased on the GE, which takes you south of the cemetery.

If you aren’t an iron man and can’t buy any of these teleports, you can use a waka canoe or games necklace to get to the Corporal Beasts Cave. Although the canoe is slightly closer, it can be slightly dangerous as it takes you deeper into the wilderness.

What You’ll Need

In terms of gear, every single monster in the God Wars Dungeon is aggressive unless you have each of the God Items on you. You will need one item from each following: Saradomin, Zamorak, Bandos, and Armadyl. Do not bring untradeable items here, unless you are willing to risk them, since GwD is in the wilderness.

Range Setup

Range is the fastest here.

If you opt for melee gear instead:

Some good options for weapons are a Saradomin Sword or a Zamorakin Hasta, as they act as god items.

It is also recommended to take a little bit of armor that you’ll keep on death, such as Bandos boots to be used as a god item, Bandos chest plate, or tassies. You can also just bring regular god wars rune items, such as saradomin full helm etc.

In terms of potions, make sure to take a Super Combat Potion. You can take a prayer potion if you would like to use prayer.

It is a good idea to bring a little bit of food in case there are PKs.

Tale a glory or any teleport way to teleport you out below level 30, as you are allowed to teleport out of the wilderness above level 30.

IMPORTANT: Do not forget to turn off your attack options for PVP combat–simply go to your settings, change it in “Player ‘Attack’ Options” to hidden because you shouldn’t risk having it on if you’re taking something like a Bandos chest plate or tassies.

Wilderness God Wars Dungeon Location

The wilderness God Wars Dungeon is located in level 26 wilderness. Here’s how to get there:

• You can use the Graveyard Teleport which is just west of the god wars dungeon
• You can also use the Lvl 27 Obelisk which is right next to the GwD, but it slightly riskier
• You can also use the Dareeyak teleport and run northeast.
• Finally you can use the burning amulet and run north

Ecumenical Key Farming

Any monster in the wilderness God Wars Dungeon can drop an ecumenical key. 

The wilderness diaries above and including medium are very beneficial to get keys.

If you have no achievement diary completed, you can only have three keys at once, and the drop rate for the first key is 1 in 60, the second is 1 in 70, and the third is 1 in 80.

if you have the medium diary, you can have up to four keys at once.

With the hard diary, you can have 5 keys at once-1 in 60 for the first three keys, 1 in 70 for the fourth, and 1 in 80 for the fifth keys.

In terms of what monsters to kill in the god wars dungeon, you should always be killing the imps and the goblins and the monsters on low HP points. Since that monster is about to die from another monster, you will get the loot if you kill it.

Once you’ve done so, hop world and repeat. World hopping is faster and easier than just waiting around for them to spawn, as the spawn time is quite long.
