Requirements

For the recommendations for the levels on different kinds of skills, you can kill the giant mole boss with fewer levels. However, it may not be easy to do so and take quite a lot of time.

So the level recommendations are the following: you may want to have level 70 attack, level 70 strength, and level 70 defense. This is for the Dharok armor.

When it comes to the prayer, you might want to start with level 43, but level 70 is also the recommended level. For piety, you may want to start with 70 or at least 43 too. You also need the Fally Hard Diary to help you easily kill the giant mole boss. You may also need an orb.

Drop Rates

Here are the things that you will expect when you go here to kill the giant mole boss. The drops here are not that good, though. However, you should expect to have a 1 in 3,000 chance to get the mole pet.

You also get a 1 in 500 chance to get an elite clue. For each time that you kill the giant mole boss, you get a claw. You also get around 1 to 3-mole skins for each time that you kill the giant mole boss. You can also get around 30 to 75 kills per hour, depending on your use.

You get 600,000 to 1,500,000 GP per hour, killing the giant mole boss. This depends on your items too.

Gear Setup

When it comes to the gear that you use, since you would not profit much from the mole boss and you would also not get that much great items, you should not spend too much on your gear.

Melee Setup

For the melee gear, you may want to go with a Dharok setup. 

  • You may also downgrade to an amulet of fury or an amulet of glory. 
  • You may also use a dragon defender instead, as well as dragon boots. 
  • You also do not need a berserker ring. 
  • You may also use a Zamorak hasta. That would be expensive, however. So you may use a dharok axe instead. 
  • You also might want to use the dragon claws or the dragon dagger instead.

Melee Inventory

  • You may want to bring a cannon 
  • super combat potions, 
  • divine combat potions, 
  • bones of peaches, 
  • four stamina potions, and 
  • prayer potions. 
  • Your means of healing varies on how you want it to be. 
  • You may also bring a locator orb for your HP, 
  • a Falador shield to find a mole to kill, 
  • a spade to get there, 
  • a lantern to serve as the lighting in there
  • house teleports to get to your house and transfer inventory items to the bank easily. 
  • You also need some cannonballs for the cannon, of course.

Range Setup

The range setup maybe a little on the expensive side. You only want to use this setup with a twisted bow. This is almost the same with the melee. For the inventory, you would not use a spec weapon. You would only need some more ranging potions. But that’s how things work.

Giant Mole Location

To get there from your house, you need to get to the Falador park area. You may get there by using an ornate jewelry box or using the Falador teleport too. Once there, you will have to go to the mole holes and see if there’s anyone inside. Then what you should do is to dig to get inside.

How To Kill The Giant Mole

You then should have a cannon and a full inventory. Then if you have the Falador shield, an arrow will appear on the map that will show you where the mole is. This will help you navigate faster to get to the mole in no time instead of going through the large expanse of land trying to find it yourself. That would make you more GP per hour. Go to the mole and setup your cannon. Then you will move to the side and pray melee as well as piety. Then the mole will spawn. Then if you do range setup, you no longer have to pray melee.

The mole has 200 HP, and when the HP of the mole is halved, the mole will have a 25% chance to dig. Then you may want to go with a weapon that highly hits it. You may want to use a weapon with high accuracy. Use your special attacks early to use items with high accuracy later on. When your HP is low, use the hasta and pray. You may also use items in your inventory to heal yourself. Then go ahead and hit the mole again and again to kill it.

The mole is not a great boss to kill over and over to reach higher levels or to get gold. But if your objective is to get the mole pet, it is great.
