In this guide, I’ll be going over how you can most effectively go through the Elves slayer task, including the initial requirements to start as well as the ideal setup to use.

Requirements

To first be assigned this task, you’ll need to have several things already established:

  • Completed Regicide quest
  • Recommended: 70 Combat level

Elves Stats

You should be aware of a few things when you are dealing with Elves.

Firstly, Elves are weak to melee and ranged weapons. This includes swords, axes, and bows. Similarly, Elves primarily use melee and ranged weapons for combat, so be sure you are correctly armored.

Elves have a Max Hit of 11 and attack very fast, so you’ll want to focus on melee weapons and having a solid defense.

Elves Drops

In terms of drops, Elves give:

  • Hard Clue (1/128 chance)
  • Internal Teleport Crystal (1/1,024 chance)
  • Crystal Shards (1/24 chance)
  • Average 1,000 GP per Kill(2000GP in the Iowerth Dungeon)

Ideal Melee Gear Setup

As mentioned earlier, your best bet is to focus on having a high attack while also having a solid defense. Some good items to consider getting can include:

Weapons

  • Dragon Scimitar
  • Dragon Defender
  • Abyssal Whip
  • Gharzi Rapier
  • Avernic Defender

Defense

  • Fighter’s Torso
  • Barrows Armor
  • Bandos Armor

Now that you understand what you’ll need, let’s go over what you’ll need to do.

Inventory Setup

Elves Location

Iowerth Camp

Starting with the lowest level Elven camp, the Iowerth Camp should be the starting option for most players, regardless of their current stats.

To get to the camp, use the Iowerth Camp teleport. This can be purchased at the Grand Exchange and shouldn’t be too expensive. You can also use the Fairy Ring (BJS) teleport or to Charter a Ship To Port Tyras. Getting the Fairy Ring will require Fairy Tale Pt. 2 to be partially completed while also having a 76 in agility. The charter option will cost between 800 and 3,200 GP based on the types of quests you’ve done.

Once you’ve got your means of transport, head out and go to town.

One thing to note is that, because the Elves are fast, you may want to bring several pieces of food to make up for any damage you sustain.

Lletya Camp

Next up is the Lletya Camp.

You’ll first need to start the “Mournings End Pt. 1” quest to get to this camp. To get there, you can use the Crystal Tele Seed. You’ll can get this item by killing an Elves. You can also use the Fairy Ring (BJS) teleport or to Charter a Ship To Port Tyras. You’ll first need to start the “Mournings End Pt. 1” quest to get to this camp.

Iorwerth Dungeon

Iorwerth Dungeon requires that you have already completed “Song of the Elves,” making it a pretty high-level area to deal with.

In terms of weapons and gear, while your weapons should be largely the same, you will want to stock up on some crystal teleport seed, super combat potions, a Herb SackBonecrusher, home teleport, and karambwans. Also recommended is a cannon.

To get to the Iorwerth Dungeon, you’ll want to use the House Teleport. This will put you just north of inside the dungeon. You can get this by locating your house or using a Scroll of Redirection to relocate your initial teleport.

You can also use the Crystal Tele Seed and the Spirit Tree Teleport.

Once you’ve entered the area in Prifddinas, you’ll want to head to the Iorwerth Dungeon. From there, you’ll notice that, like Lletya Camp, this area is larger than the previous one. Since most of the area is thin tunnels, getting through the entire area can take time. If you have a 78 in Agility, you’ll be able to squeeze through certain areas to create a shortcut for yourself.

When finding the Elves, you’ll want to wipe them out as fast as possible. They are primarily warriors, so expect most of their attacks to be melee close-ranged.
