Bryophyta is the first free to play boss. Bryophyta is a moth giant boss.

Requirements

To fight Bryophyta, you need to have the following: you are required to have at least 50 levels for you melee stats, at least 43 levels for prayer, you must have the Dragon Slayer completed, and also the Mossy Key. The 50 melee stats will make you last longer in your boss fight.

For the prayer, you will have to use protect from magic, but you might want to use protect from melee too. You use the Mossy Key to get to the location of Bryophyta.

Gear

For your equipment, you would want to have a mix of defense against melee and also a defense against magic.

A suggested setup consists of the rune full helm, the rune kiteshield, green d’hide body, green d’hide chaps, fighting boots, a rune scimitar, an amulet of strength, or an amulet of power, and any cape.

You may also use range weapons to fight Bryophyta. It would help if you had a level 60 range for this to be effective.

Inventory

In your inventory, you would need a mossy key that you can get from the moth monsters’ drops. You need this to get into the boss fight.

You also need an axe such as the bronze axe. You need the axe to kill the minions of Bryophyta.

Also, bring some anti-poison potion and strength potion. You should also bring a Varrock Teleport to use when you have to get out of the battlefield.

If you die while attempting to defeat the boss, you will also lose all the items you brought. You should also bring the best food that you can, such as swordfish or even lobsters.

You start at the Varrock sewer entrance. It can be found beside the castle. You just have to go inside; then, you have to pass through other monsters. You have to get to the center of the sewer. You also need a slashing weapon because there is a web there that blocks the path.

How To Fight Bryophyta

Drink your potions and go inside. Start attacking the boss from there. Turn on your protect your magic(if you need to), as Bryophyta uses magic attacks.

Bryophyta will summon minions, and you have to kill these minions as well, finish them off by using the axe on them. You have to do this before you can deal damage to Bryophyta once more. When you are getting low on HP, you eat food. Make sure that you watch your HP.
