Today we will check out how to make money by mining basalt in OSRS. Basalt is a rock, and its mining requires level 72 mining and can be mined after completing the quest “making friends with my arm”.

Basalt Mine Location

Weiss is the only place you can mine basalt, and to get there, you have 3 options

  • Using icy basalt
  • Using teleport in a nexus
  • Using Larry’s boat on the coast east of Relleka

Snowflake and mining

Once you reach Weiss run to the building and look for Snowflake. After that, there is a stair on the side that you can use to get to the mining place. The basalt rocks are those in black.

Not many basalt rocks close together, but they respawn pretty quickly. You can mine about 734-800 basalt in an hour, making you around 300k/hour. Once you are done mining it, you give it to Snowflake, who will change it to banknotes.
