What is the Alchemical Hydra?

The Alchemical Hydra is a boss in the OSRS Hydra and was created by Karuulm, a Dragonkin who created the beast but cast it aside because the Alchemical couldn’t replicate any traits. The beast shifts its appearance as you progress through the stages. For instance, the beast begins the stage with five heads but shifts from blue to green. The creature will change to black before it dies.

The colors represent the rudimental traits of the beast, and it will take advantage of them as the battle progresses. You will get 1320XP if you beat the creature with a combat level of 426.

The most important stats are the hit count and defensive stats. They will help sustain the heavy attacks by the creature.

The range is also essential because you don’t want to get closer to the best. Do as much damage as you can from far.

Hydra Gear/Inventory Setup

Gear

Apart from strategy, weapons, gear, and inventory can make the battle smooth. Below are the best items to have for the battle.

Weapons: Twisted Bow and the Toxic Blowpipe or the toxic blowpipe/dragon crossbow if you don’t have the twisted bow.

Armor: Barrows gloves, Slayer Helmet, the boots we mentioned above, Archer’s ring, Ava’s Assembler, Necklace of Anguish, among others.

Inventory

Inventory setup: Adamant darts, Super Restores, Antidote++, quality food, alch setup in rune pouch and super ranging potions.

Alchemical Hydra Location

Players should wear granite, brimstone, or stone boots to combat unwanted heat damage in the dungeon. You won’t need such specific items if you have accomplished Elite Koruend Kebos because you won’t be affected by the damage.

You will find the Alchemical Hydra in Mount Karuulm at the lower stages of the Karuulm Slayer dungeon. Note that you must descend deeper into the mountain before meeting the beast.

This area is found in the northern part of Kebos Lowlands and is known for its blue color because of sulfur. Areas closer to Mount Karuulm include Lovakenj, located on the west side.

Use fairy ring code CIR or Rada’s blessing to get to the Alchemical Hydra.

You can reach this area easily if you teleport directly to the summit. A player must teleport to the summit using Rada’s Blessings 3 or 4. The next closest is Fairy Ring code CIR.

You can also use the Battlefront teleport, farming cape or skills necklace to teleport you to a nearby farming guild.

Is it An Instanced Fight?

Yes, this is an instanced battle, meaning a unique location is formed for each player that visits this part of the map.

Every boss battle is unique, and only you can redeem item drops, and you can’t view other players when they visit the same area.

Alchemist Hydra Immunities

The Alchemist Hydra comes with two pure immunities.

Venom is useless and can’t affect the creature.

Poison, so save your poison-based attacks.

Using tactics that aim to wear down the beast’s HP isn’t possible. Adjust your approach while keeping this in mind.

Alchemical Hydra Special Attacks

If you see the poison attack, move a couple of tiles away and pray ranged to avoid the poison attack. This is also why we bring an antidote++.

The second phase is when the hydra is blue. He will shoot out four electrical tornados that will chase after you. If these hit, they freeze you and deal around 10 damage each. Pray mage and run away from him.

The third Special attack is on the third phase when the Hydra is red. He will wall you off and shoot fire around you. To avoid this, you should move or you’ll be hit by fire, dealing 10-20 damage and hitting you 5 times in a row on top of the initial damage. This is the most punishing special attack, so avoid getting hit at all costs.

Ranged attack: This is a standard attack with a damage of 55. It’s in the form of a sharp projectile that’s solid-colored.

Strategy to defeat the Alchemical Hydra

You should lure the Hydra during each phase to these spots marked in the picture below; if he is not lured, the damage will be reduced by 75%, making your kills much slower. His damage is also increased by up to 50%. Each phase is also marked with the exact tile to stand on in yellow. For the last phase, P4, when the Hydra turns grey, you do not need to lure him; fight him regularly.

You should first know the attacks that the creature will launch. The first attack will be a magic attack based on the chemical phase before a standard ranged attack.

Magic attack: This attack varies depending on the battle’s phase. The base damage of the magic attack is the same as the ranged attack of 55.

Magic attacks receive a 50 percent buff that can be decreased to 75 percent if the creature is lured over the proper chemical vent at the start of every stage. The attack appears like a colored cloud and can be fire, poison sludge, or lightning.

Strategy

You’ll need to count to three to defeat this beast. The creature will start with any of the two attacks before switching to the other. You have to monitor the attack pattern of the monster because it will switch attacks for the whole fight. Flick the prayer to range or mage to negate damage in case the beast changes attacks.

The monster will move on to the next phase once the health decreases to 75 percent. It will change to a blue color and lose one of its heads. It will receive a 50% boost to its magic damage. Luring the monster to the right chemical vent will deal with the magic damage.

You also have to repeat the process when the Hydra changes to red.

The fire maze attack is the most dangerous and requires planning. Turn your run function off a walk slowly, avoiding the fire when it appears. A hit from a fire maze attack will cause 20 initial damage.

The monster doesn’t have chemical boosts at the final level and will rely on poison attacks. It will switch attacks after every attack, and you have to flick your prayers keenly. This is the key to taking down the Alchemical Hydra. You can then teleport out and gather your loot.

Requirements

• The attacker needs 90+ ranged or 90+ melee if meleeing.

Attacker Gear

BOFA(Bow of Faerdhinen) is the BiS for DPS in Bandos by a large margin, so using this ranged setup is recommended if possible.

Recommended gear for the attacker includes Bow of Faerdhinen with Crystal armor, Anguish, max cape or prayer/hitpoint cape, Pegasians or Blessed d’hide boots, a ring of Suffering or ring of the gods, Zamorak bracers, Ward blessing.

If you can’t get BOFA, use a Max Melee with Rapier/Tentacle setup instead.

Attacker Inventory

Prepare with six Divine bastion potions, six super combat potions to pot share, a blowpipe, dragon darts, two emergency anglerfish, five super restores, ring pouch with mud, death, and astral runes, and optionally an Imbued heart. Bring a Combat achievement or easy diary hilt(Ghommal’s hilt) for teleports to the boulder.

Collect a pile of hilts from Ghommal and drop them to pick up drops at Bandos. Alternatively, use a house tablet to Trollheim.

Tank Setup for Bandos

Tank Requirements

• The Bulwark is a new addition to OSRS and has proven incredibly powerful in tanking.
• The tank should have 90+ combat stats, high defense and strength, and 80+ prayer.
• The Arceuus spellbook and 80+ magic are ideal for casting Thralls and Death Charge. Or bring alchs.
• Higher magic levels can help tank the magic minion.
• Explorer ring 4 for alchs.

Tank Gear

The recommended gear includes Absolute Max Defence with Bulwark, full Justiciar armor, Infernal or Fire cape, Guardian boots, Barrows gloves, Ring of Suffering or Berserker ring, and Unholy blessing. Amulet of blood fury is important for this setup as it keeps your health high throughout the trips. You can also do this with the bandos armor.

Full guthans, BGS for extra damage, 10 tuna potato, and 8 super restores.

Killing Bandos

DUO Boss Strategy

At Bandos, grab a hammer by killing one of the goblins. Drop a piece of food, pick up the hammer, enter the door, drop food on the other side, go back, pick up food, go back through the door, drop the hammer, and pick up full supplies. Enter the dungeon on an empty world and both pray the preserved prayer.

The attacker should pot share a super combat and get ready to enter. The tank should enter the room first and immediately spec Bandos with the BGS and attack with the Bulwark while praying protect from melee. The attacker should pray Rigor and Protect from Ranged and immediately attack Bandos. If the attacker is using a melee setup, they should pray Piety and Protect from Ranged.

Killing Bandos as a Team

Killing Bandos as a team requires a tank and a main attacker. The tank should have a high Melee attack max and should be able to block for a zero. Keep track of the tank’s health and eat food when it drops below 40.

Once Bandos is dead, attack the mages and keep Piety on. If one player has full health and the other is low, stop attacking so they can heal up with Guthans. Use blowpipe specs and Guthans to restore health. If the tank’s Strength drops below 116, the attacker should use super combat and Divine restore on pot share; 116 strength is where they lose a max hit.

Hit the prayer altar and stand near Graadors spawn point. When Gradoor attacks, make sure the tank attacks him first. The person with the explorer’s ring should do the alching and pick up the coin drops. Both should use restore/food when possible.

Obor

Let’s first talk about obor himself. His combat level is a 106 monster with 120 hp that attacks with max hit ranged 26, and max hit melee 22.

Obor Location

You can access his lair after obtaining a giant key, which is dropped by regular hill giants, and one giant key equals one Obor kill, so keep in mind that you can’t kill obor whenever you want, you have to get a key first.

Recommended Stats

Here are the stats recommended to fight obor:

• 59 magic. It is important to do as much damage as possible so that a fire blast will be your best friend. You could try with lower-level spells, but it’s not recommended, especially if it’s your first time. You want to kill him as quickly as possible.

• Runes (fire blast, teleport runes)
• Food (swordfish + anchovy pizza, or lower food if you don’t have better) – make sure you have good food to survive.

How To Kill Obor

Let’s now get to the core of the article and talk about how to kill obor.

Once you enter the lair, your giant key will crumble to dust, which means that if you leave the area, you will need a new key to kill obor. When you enter the room, make sure you are close to food run energy. And set your quick prayers to protect missiles. 

Melee

If you are using melee just protect from melee attacks and kill obor.

Also, make sure you turn on your prayer before climbing down the rocks because obor will attack you immediately after you climb down.

Magic

To kill obor with magic, the strategy you need to use is to keep running back and forth from the west to the east wall, and every time you run through a wall, you’ll be able to use two fire blasts to attack him. 

But now and then obor will deal some damage, so that is when you eat. Always prioritize eating over attacking. It is okay if the fight takes a little longer, stays calm, and keeps going. 

It is also essential that when you run, you spam-click until you start running because sometimes obor smacks you against the wall, and you’ll be stunned for a second.

In summary, this whole strategy is pretty simple: you have to keep repeating the same process repeatedly, and it shouldn’t be a problem to kill obor on your first try.

Drops

Obor has some nice drops, but in this article, we’ll only be highlighting a few. For example, the hill giant club and the rune kiteshield. Now, if you’re not an iron man, you want to go for the hill giant club to make yourself some money because it’s worth 470k, not too bad.

If you are an iron man, though, the rune kiteshield will be your best drop. Why is this? Because it’s the best in slot shield and free-to-play, and it’s the only way to obtain it.

Also, not to forget is that obor always drops a beginner clue scroll unless you already have one. If it’s your first time trying to kill obor, it’s generally recommended to kill him with magic. Later on, this is not the best way to kill him, but it’s very easy to learn, and it will increase your chance of survival.

It is wise to have a solid base 80 stats for this task, but you don’t necessarily need them, and we will cover a 2/3 kings method to kill dagannoths if you are lower level.

There are 3 Dagannoth kings, being Supreme(ranger), Rex(melee) and Prime(mage). Despite that, since there are three different bosses, you need to have decent stats in any case.

Recommended armor

The goal you should keep in mind when gearing up is to avoid having many switches (I.E., One for each boss). In this regard, the fury is better over the zenyte because it gives you more inventory spaces.

You don’t need all-expensive items; you can bring:

• A blowpipe instead of a twisted bow.
• Slayer helm.
• Tentacle, although a regular whip, is all right.
• Dragon dagger.
• Range cape gives a nice prayer bonus. You can also bring an accumulator instead.
• God boots. A nice replacement is the pegasians.
• Ring of suffering. The ring of the gods also works.
• Crystal shield, or a spirit shield.
• Dragon defender or any defensive shield works just fine.
• Trident of the swamp. Any regular trident will do.

Inventory

If you can afford it, you can bring blood runes on your runes pouch. Bring a stamina potion and get there easily, a holy wrench to get more prayer, an imbued heart will give you more magic, and a preserve prayer is recommended. Don’t forget to bring a couple of teleports, and a pet rock will help you get through the gates.

Also, you will need a rune thrownaxe to get in. The dagganoth kings drop these, so you will able to stock up on them.

Bank Tags

The use of this feature is really helpful when going to fight dagannoth kings. The way that it works is that in your bank, if you right-click an item and then click dit tags’, you can put it in a little key (DK’s), and once you do that, if you search that item, it will appear instantly. If you do this for every item you bring to dagannoth kings, they will show up, and you can gear up very quickly.

Dagannoth Kings Location

Dagganoth kings can be found deep inside the cave of waterbirth island.

Once you are all set to go, eat your food, your super combat pot, drink the ranging potion and turn to preserve on. Go to the bank and get a new set of those items.

How To Get There

There are a lot of ways to get to waterbirth island. The easiest one is putting your house in Rellekka or uses a redirection tab from the Nightmare >one to go there with a house tab.

You can also use an enchanted lyre, the teleport to waterbirth island spell on the lunar spellbooks.

Then run to the dungeon where the dagganoth kings are is really easy. Once you are in waterbirth, just run West. There’s no specific time to drink your stamina potion, so keep an eye on your stats.

Turn on prayer melee, head towards the gate, and drop your rock. Open the door, pick your rock again.

You can destroy the support door on the west throw it at the middle door, use the special attack.

Use the map below to navigate through the maze if it’s your first time. It’s easier than it looks once you have navigated through it a couple of times.

You can pray either melee or range as you navigate the cave.

You can either wait for the dagannoth kings to appear, although you could take a lot of damage from that, or you can pray range and then go in with piety and get ready to kill supreme right away. If you peek through the crack it will tell you if other players are fighting the Dagannoth bosses or not.

Fighting the Dagannoth Kings

One of the messiest parts of the trip is the limited amount of time that you have to kill one of the Supreme before the other sees you, if the others see you just go back up.

You will want to kill the Supreme as soon as you can; you can use your specs if you’ve got them and be ready to prayer flick mage and range in case Prime sees you(Prime can KO you otherwise).

When you are fighting two of them at once, it’s fairly easy to pray to flick them both simultaneously. Once the animations of one happen, switch to the other, and before you know it, supreme will be dead.

Once Supreme is dead you can focus on killing Rex.

Pray mage, and don’t kill Prime yet; you will want to kill Rex first. Try getting his attention and then run to a spot near the wall. Keep praying mage, and most of the time, rex will safe-spotted there. If he doesn’t, all you have to do is run to the corner to the left and then run back to your previous spot. It will look like the image above when Rex is safe-spotted.

Once he is dead, all that you have to do is kill prime. You’ll get a lot of food drops, so make sure to make room for them.

The order is going to be prime, supreme, rex, over, and over again. For prime, you should go northeast as much as possible because supreme is going to spawn back by the ladder with his range attack, and you don’t want him to see you.

* with the twisted bow or if you have a crossbow, this is easy to do because the range is far, whereas, with the blowpipe, it turns a little trickier.

Once prime is dead, you should kill supreme next, and because rex spawns in 23 seconds in the middle of the room, it’s recommended to stand on the ladder side of supreme because then rex will almost always never see you.

* the only time you might have an issue is supreme is in the center of the room, which doesn’t happen very often. If it does happen, you can use either tank or pray to flick them.

As you can see, fighting the dagannoth kings isn’t all that hard. As long as your stats are decent enough, you will get the kills whiting a reasonable amount of time. You might want to bring a couple of extra food, especially for the beginning, if you’re new to this.

Following this method, you should be able to get around 100 kills within 90 minutes on average.

The first thing that you need to know about the abyssal sire is that it is a slayer boss, meaning that you can only damage him while on a slayer task assigned from one of the slayer masters scattered throughout the world osrs.

The abyssal sire isn’t precisely a hard boss to fight, but you must have some general skills to enhance your chances.

Requirements

When it comes to melee, it is advised to have at least level 80 in your attack, strength, and defense skills. As for range, you will also need to level 80 and at least 70 of prayer with the piety prayer unlocked.

Since you are expected to use magic when fighting the abyssal, it is recommended to have a bare minimum of level 76 to use the ancient spellbook and the shadow blitz spell. If you can have level 92 magic for the blood barrage spell and level 88 for the shadow barrage spell, your chances will be better.

Recommended Armor

This is an example of lower-tier, pretty affordable gear that you can use. If you can afford to get better armor, you’re advised to do so.

• Slayer helmet. Preferably imbued to get a bonus of 15% to range accuracy and damage.
• Fire cape.
• Amulet of fury. Amulet of torture, if possible.
• Arclight. It will give you additional damage
• Dragon defender.
• Torag’s platebody.
• Torag’s platelegs.
• Barrows gloves.
• Dragon boots. Primordial boots make for a good replacement.
• Berserker’s ring (imbued).
• Rada’s blessing. Any other blessing will work.

Inventory

• Bandos d’hide top and bottom. Any d’hide will do.
• Ava’s assembler. An accumulator or ranging cape will also work.
• Toxic blowpipe.
• Dragon Warhammer. If you cannot afford a Dragon Warhammer, use a Bandos Godsword or an Arclight as a spec weapon(Arclight is double as effective against demons, making it a viable choice).
• Super combat potion.
• Ranging potion.
• Antidote ++.
• Five super restores.
• Two stamina potions.
• Eight sharks.
• Air runes.
• Rune pouch, filled with blood runes, soul runes, and death runes.
• Staff.
• Construction cape. Or house teleports.

Abyssal Sire Location

There are two main ways of getting to the abyssal sire. The first option is just north of edgeville through the zamorak mage who teleports you to the abyss. The problem with this method is that it will put a skull on you, which is not good while fighting the abyssal sire.

The second and better option is using a fairy ring code D-I-P, which will teleport you to the other realm of the abyssal nexus. Once you are there, you will find four different paths to follow, but they will take you to an abyssal sire.

How to Fight the Abyssal Sire Boss

Tips and Mechanics

Once inside the abyssal sire chamber, you will notice two vents with green smoke on the west side. That is the abyssal sire’s respiratory system.

On the east side, there will be two identical vents. You will also notice six tentacles with eyeballs on them, which you should try to avoid at all costs.

This boss possesses different mechanics. The first thing we will discuss is his defense level. The abyssal sire has a defense level of 250. If you land one special attack, you will reduce that level to 175, and if you land your second special attack, it will be reduced to 123.

This is why the dragon Warhammer is imperative –the special attack reduces defense by 30% if it hits, it can hit a one or a 70, doesn’t matter as long as it hits. This can be compounded with a second attack, but it will only reduce the defense by 30% of the current defense level.

Phase 1 Mechanics

The first mechanic is how to stun or put to sleep the abyssal, which you will need to do to stop the tentacles from hitting you as you run around. You will have to use shadow spells to do this.

With the shadow rush spell, you have a 25% chance of stunning the sire, with burst 50%, blitz 75%, and at shadow barrage, you have a 100% chance.

If you succeed in doing this, the abyssal will be stunned for a certain amount of time, from 20 to 25 seconds. You will then move on to start to attack the respiratory system.

A good approach is to do two respiratory systems at a time, going west and then east. Wait for the boss to come back from its slumber, stun it again and move to the southern vents.

Phase 2 Mechanics

The second part relies on fighting the abyssal sire on melee form. There are three mechanics to be aware of here.

The first is the abyssal spawn; from time to time, the abyssal sire will spawn something, and you will have to kill it. If not, it will evolve into a higher level and cause more damage to you.

Next comes the poison. Underneath of you, the sire can spawn a poison which will rapidly damage you.

The third mechanic refers to the tentacles that the abyssal has on his back. They hit through melee prayer, although it’s not a strong attack.

Phase 3 Mechanics

The final phase of the abyssal sire boss consists of several mechanics. He will move to the center of the room, and he’s going to root himself. After he does that, he’s going to start spawning poison under your feet.

To fend it off, attack the abyssal and then move to the opposite side you’re standing, back and forth.

During the next phase of the fight, you’ll be teleported right in front of the abyssal sire. As soon as you see the teleport animation complete, you need to immediately run south. The abyssal will open up, and if you are within reach, you will take up to 72 damage from the explosion.

After you have avoided the explosion, the poison under your feet will appear once more. While avoiding this, you might want to run back and cast a blood barrage on all abyssal minions. After three times, the poison will stop, and you will have to finish off the kill.

This wilderness demi-boss is relatively easy to kill. However, the chaos fanatic has one mechanic that could be troublesome if you’re lower-level, which added to the fact that it’s out there in the wilderness it’s rendered a little trickier. That being said, you don’t have to risk much to kiss the chaos fanatic successfully.

The chaos fanatic has a combat level of 202 with hit points of 225. It’s always aggressive, and its max hit is 31. He’s not poisonous, his weakness is ranged, and he attacks with a magic style attack.

He has an attack strength and range level of 1 and a magic level of 200.

Requirements

This demi-boss has a pretty solid defense level of 220, so that should be your main focus. For this reason, it is recommended to have at least a level 75 range so you can use the toxic blowpipe and also to guarantee some decent hits and, therefore, damage.

Having a minimum prayer level of 37 for the protect for magic prayer is also needed. Keep in mind that you will be out in the wilderness, so you’re going to want to have level 43 prayer for the protect from melee prayer.

Recommended Armor

Since you will be in the wilderness is smart to keep your gear fairly cheap. You can use this setup as it is or use it as a guide.

• Archer’s helmet.
• Amulet of glory.
• Ava’s assembler. Ava’s accumulator.
• Toxic blowpipe.
• Black dragonhide top and legs.
• Barrows gloves.
• Snakeskin boots.
• Rada’s blessing. You get this as a reward from the kourend diaries, and you can reclaim it for free at any time in case you die and lose it.

If you want, by all means, you can bring more expensive items such as a fury amulet, necklace of anguish, pegasian boots, god d’hide boots, etc. Just remember that you’re in the wilderness, and you wouldn’t want to lose your items.

* if you can afford it, you’re welcome to use a rune crossbow. It will increase your accuracy and damage by 50% against wilderness NPCs.

Inventory

As far as the inventory goes:

• One ranging potion
• One saradomin brew
• One super restore
• Three prayer potions
• Summer pies or Wild Pies(the boss de-equips your items that’s why we have summer pies)

Chaos Fanatic Location

This demi-boss can be found into the deepest of the wilderness, just west to the entrance of the king black dragon’s lair. There are a few ways to get yourself there.

The first one is by using the arceuus spell the cemetery teleport. It requires level 71 magic to use. If you don’t have that level of access to the arceuus spellbook, you can buy a teleport tablet at the grand exchange.

Another option that you have is buying a ghorrock teleport, which requires level 96 magic to cast. This will transport you to the ice plateau in the wilderness.

You can also take the wilderness obelisks until you get to the location, or if you have the hard diary completed, you will be able to choose your exact destination and get there very quickly.

The last method is using a burning amulet teleport to the lava maze and running northwest.

How To Slay the Chaos Fanatic

As you head towards the chaos fanatic, set you’re protected for magic on, your range pot, and the go-ahead to start the kill.

Move away from the green attack; it will go up and then crash down, which will give you plenty of time to avoid it.

The red spells will unequip your items, so definitely keep an eye out for that type of attack(make sure you have full inventory at all times to avoid this mechanic, with summer pies it shouldn’t be a problem).

This boss’s mechanics are minor, and it’s really not hard at all to kill him. Go at it with your best weapon; a blowpipe with adamant darts will easily get the job done.

* try not to stay out here for too long because there are normally pkers roaming around. You definitely won’t want to lose all of your loot to them.

The drops from the chaos fanatic aren’t that great, but you could get an odium ward or a malediction shard although they are not very common.

To leave the chaos fanatic, just run to the east, head down into the King Black Dragon’s lair, and teleport out using your glory amulet.

If you are mid-level, it is recommended that you use range. The recommendation is to have at least level 80 Attack and 85 strength base before fighting Callisto.

Melee remains the better option when fighting the Callisto boss.

The GP per hour that you will get from fighting Callisto stands around 1-2 million per hour.

Callisto Location

The Callisto boss can be found in the northeastern part of the wilderness, near lava island.

The easiest way to get there is by using an Annakarl teleport, which you can use after completing the desert treasure quest. Moreover, if you have the wilderness elite done, you can teleport there via wilderness sword.

You can also use a revenant cave teleport and then run east.

How To Kill Callisto

Once you are there, you will need to lure Callisto.

Put your bow on long-range(unless you’re a pure), shoot Callisto, turn the magic prayer on, run around near the lava for a few seconds, and head next to the dead tree shown in the picture above.

Callisto will come by running through the two tree slumps. When he does, move to the east. Sometimes he will attack you right away; sometimes, he won’t. If he does attack you and hurls the type of attack that sends you flying backward, the spot to the west of the rocks is useful because it will send you flying into the rocks and avoid getting thrown out of his range.

Stay at this spot until Calisto passes by the two marked tiles to the north, then go to the east tile, finally run north. You can now kill Callisto without being attacked as he is lured.

Once he starts attacking you, you will be good to go. Go ahead and attack him; there isn’t much else to it. It is recommended to pray to protect item and mage at all times. If you are praying mage, the TB is only 2 and a half minutes.

How To Fend Off PKers

It doesn’t take that long to lure Callisto and the running probably takes 30% of the time you’re out there. The hardest part is probably getting away from pkers, but if you have a dinh’s bulwark using it, it will be beneficial. You can also lure the pkers towards Callisto, and sometimes he will attack them. If that’s the case, you are in singles; he is combat; you can log out.

If a pker seems like he knows he’s doing, put on on your tank gear, pray mage, and throw on augury. Augury works great to get away from pkers because they are going to try to freeze you to stop you. Anytime you get frozen, they’re going to start to either range you or melee you, for the most part, so focus two and keep augury on.

As you start to run south, all you have to do is get down to level 30, and if you have a teleport block, you should have enough food most of the time to be able to tank it, unless you got full tb in which case it might be hard to spend five minutes out there in the wilderness.

If you can teleport, go ahead. If you can’t, keep running. If you run across Venenatis, do the same time as with callisto; in any scenario is best to fight them instead of pkers. As a last resort to save you from Callisto as you wait, run further ahead to find green dragons. If you want to be safe out here, you can bring an anti-fire potion and box them.

• It is recommended to have at least level 70 defense to use the full Veracs set before fighting the Chaos Elemental.
• As for attack and strength, you should have at least level 80.

In case you are not a main account, you won’t necessarily be needing any defense level, but if you have a level of let’s day one defense, you’re still going to need at least level 60 attack and 80 strength.

Recommended Gear

You will want to use a full Verac’s set up for the set effect and defensive bonuses. As for the other items, these are the recommendations:

• Explorer’s ring.
• Rune gloves.
• Climbing boots.
• Mythical cape/God Cape/Ardy Cloak 3/4. 
• God cape, ardy cloak.
• Rada’s blessing
• Amulet of Glory

Make sure to bring the following items as part of your inventory:

• 1 super combat potion.
• 1 saradomin brew.
• 1 super restore.
• 3 prayer potions.
• 1 stamina potion.
• Teleports.
• Seedpod.
• Food (summer pies recommended).

You can also opt to go for Viggora’s Chainmace setup.

• Helm of neitiznot.
• Explorer’s ring.
• Mythical cape.
• Proselyte top.
• Proselyte bottom.
• Climbing boots.
• Amulet of torture.
• Dragon defender.
• Barrows gloves.
• Rada’s blessing.

As for the inventory of this setup, the same items apply except for the food. You won’t be taking much damage with this gear, so you won’t need to waste money on the summer pies (you can replace them with sharks).

Chaos Elemental Location

To get to the Chaos Elemental, you have a few different options.

The fastest way to get there requires using the wilderness obelisk, which will teleport you around the wilderness. If you don’t have one of these in your house, you will have to use the burning amulet to teleport you to the Chaos Altar, run north, find the obelisk and take it around the wilderness until you find the level 50 portal.

If you happen to have completed the wilderness hard diaries, you will choose your destination on the obelisk, making your trip to elemental chaos much faster.

Your next best option is using the wilderness lever in Edgeville. Run south of the back to find the lever, which will teleport you to the deep wilderness. Once you get there, run north, get yourself through the web, and head southeast.

A little further down, turn slightly east, and the chaos elemental will be roaming around somewhere in that area.

You can also use an Annakarl teleport if you have completed Desert Treasure:

How To Fight the Chaos Elemental

The chaos elemental has two main mechanics. The first one consists of a sort of teleport; if you are hit by it (looks like a red ball), you will be teleported some distance away from the chaos elemental; this is why you need a stamina potion.

As for the second mechanic, the chaos elemental will throw some little green spell at you, which will render you unequipped. If you have any open spaces in your inventory, some of your items will be taken off and placed there –the summer pies will keep your inventory full at all times, so this doesn’t affect you.

The flinching method is the best approach that you can take to fight the chaos elemental successfully. The kills can turn up a little slow, but you won’t have to worry about taking any damage.

If you have a Verac’s setup, you get to the Chaos Elemental, Protect from magic, Piety, and Preserve. His magic will hit you the hardest since your magic defense is as low as it can be. Go ahead and start attacking him until you kill him.

Although using the Chainmace is recommended, you can use any other weapon for the flinching method. What you have to do is position yourself behind the trees near to the wall. Put on your protect from magic as you find the chaos elemental.

Once it starts attacking you, get back over to the tree, stand behind it, and the chaos elemental will come to you. Turn piety on, and then start flinching it. Go ahead and attack it and run back immediately behind the tree. Once the hp bar disappears, repeat the attack process.

* You can turn off your piety while you’re behind the tree to save a little of your prayer.

This method will save you a little bit of money from food and prayer, and you can keep doing it for as long as you want.
