In today’s post, we’re going to be going over 100 ideas for flipping in osrs. If you often run out of ideas or out of inspiration on what items to flip because anything would work, but some items work better than others, this article is mainly for you.
It’ll help you as a brainstorming guide or list you can come back to whenever you need it. One-third of these items are going to be free-to-play, and two-thirds of them will be pay-to-play. Now let’s get started.
Free To Play(F2P) Flipping Items
We’re going to start with the cheapest items so high volume items. Free-to-play does have the benefit of having a few excellent free-to-play items.
High Volume
- Law rune – first up, we have the law rune only costing 150 gp. There are also often pretty good margins on the law rune better than some other rune counterparts.
- Death rune – next up we have the death rune, which is a little bit more expensive but can generally get a 2 to 5 gp margin. You’re not going to be making much back until you have a couple of million gp to start flipping with, but if anything, it’s a pretty good practice. The time it should take to flip any popular rune is probably 5 to 10 minutes max.
- Adamantite ore – this is another pretty good free-to-play flip, at a much lower price. So if you’re looking to get a pretty good bargain on the free-to-play items with good margins, this would be a great pick.
- Adamantite bar
- Mithril bar – this one is currently worth 600 gp often has excellent margins and a very high buying quantity
- Mithril ore – a similar item we have is mithril ore, which is hilariously cheap.
- Nature rune – next up we have the nature rune, a swift item with such a high volume. Unfortunately, you don’t generally get more than a 1 gp margin, but it’s an excellent practice item.
- Coal – this one is more expensive than mithril, which is a bummer. Sometimes it can get a 2 to 5 gp margin on, and it’s a reasonably cheap item, so it’s worth doing
- Wine of zamorak – now the wine of zamorak is a relatively expensive high-volume item. If you have the money for it, it’s recommended to do it. The return on investment is often pretty low; you’re getting back around 5% on the money you have invested.
- Gold ore – a reasonably good item, and it often has higher margins than some of the hyper-popular items.
Alright, so these were just a few ideas of high-volume items for you to play. So now, let’s move on to items that are under 100,000 gp. Most of these are going to be higher-margin items and not resource items. There’s a surprisingly good amount of to do in free-play that most people don’t know about or do that much. A lot of them are clue scroll rewards.
100k
- Strength amulet(t) – first up is the strength amulet (t), a clue scroll reward, also available in free-to-play. Low volume but can get 1000, 2000, 3000 gp margins.
- Ancient kiteshield – currently, this one has around 5k margin. These items are especially good if you don’t have that much money. So if you only really have a million gp to work with, these items are going to get you a lot more money back than just investing all your money in swordfish or blood runes and stuff like that.
- Amulet of defence (t)
- Rune platebody (g) – this item has been in the game for quite a while, but you can get pretty good margins on it as well
- Mithril platebody (g)
- Studded chaps (t) – this one currently has a 75% return on it. That’s not unheard of that you can get double your money back on some of these items as there’s always a market for them.
- Mithril full helmet (t)
- Adamant platebody (g)
- Blue wizard robe (t)
- Sandwich lady top – currently, it says it has a 200% return on it, which could be accurate.
Next up, we have items that are under 1 million gp.
One mil
- Jester cape – this is a brand-new item or newish item with the beginner clue scroll update. A lot of these items are still worth quite a bit just because they haven’t been in the game long enough
- Shoulder parrot – this one has stabilized at around 250,000 gp
- Rune scimitar ornament kit (saradomin)
- Hill giant club
- Gilded chainbody
There aren’t many free-to-play items over 1 million gp in cost, but there are a few ones, and most of them are gilded items.
10 mil
- Gilded platebody
- Gilded kiteshield
- Gilded platelegs
- Gilded full helm
- Team cape zero
- Team cape x
- Ring of nature
Pay-to-play(P2p) Flipping Items
Now let’s move on to the crazy world of pay-to-play items.
High volume
- Rune dart
- Rune dart tip – very similar to the rune dart item. Both don’t share a buying limit
- Cadantine potion (unf) – this one works very nicely; they are quite slow, but they’re cheap and come through eventually, usually in big clumps randomly as people make potions
- Kwuarm potion (unf)
- Burnt page – costly item, has gotten even more expensive now.
- Dragon dart – you can find a good margin on it as this item flips very quickly.
- Dragon dart tip – same as dragon dart.
- Revenant other
- Zulrah’s scales
- Cannonball – for whatever reason, this item has much higher margins than the quantity would indicate
- Blood rune
- Soul rune
- Wrath rune – these runes are preferred because the margins are generally at 2 to 5 instead of most runes, which are often 1 gp.
- Adamant dart tip -usually has a pretty good roi on it
- Oak plank
- Mahogany plank
- Air orb – air orbs or any variant of the orb can be good. Sometimes it’s also better to do less commonly made orbs like earth orbs or water orbs because there’s still a market for them, but the margin can be larger. This depends on how attentive you want to be while you’re flipping
- Dragonstone bolts(e)
- Dragon bolts – highly suggested and its variants because there are so many it gets pretty easy to find something that’s good to flip on here.
- Black dragon leather – these have larger margins than dragon hides, but the volume is less, so it’s down to personal preference. You can try to put an offer on it, leave it for an hour or two and come back instead of having to stay there and observe it.
- Green dragon leather
- Red dragon leather – less popular out of the dragon leather, subsequently has the best margin.
- Blue dragon leather
There are tons of different items to do in pay-to-play, but often people don’t end up trying the cheap items, meaning the high margin items under a 100k gp. Many people don’t think it’s worth their time, but often these items have the best return on investment and can even have pretty competitive margins.
100k
- Holy blessing – it has an 80% return on it, definitely buys and sells pretty quickly. The limit kind of sucks, but that’s still an excellent return for a very minimal investment
- Elemental shield – this one’s a very cheap item, the limit of 70, which is very nice
- Master scroll book (empty) – has a limit of 100 and currently a margin of 7000
- Zamorak cloak – another clue scroll item
- Maple sapling – this one could be considered both high margin and high volume
- Dragon sword – this is now under 100k gp, they have tanked it since being added to the worm drop table
- Robe bottom of darkness – another clue scroll reward
- Dragon chainbody ornament kit – a very dirt cheap ornament kit. It’s recommended to give it a try, currently has a 90% return on it.
- Farseer helm
- Malediction shard 1 – it’s considered a rare item, but people do combine these things into malediction shields, which means that this item will always be useful to somebody.
Let’s move on to the items that are under one mil gp. This is when things start to get good.
One mil
- Bandos d’hide boots
- Ancient page 4 – varies in prices a lot
- Granite gloves – a pvm drop, not very popular in the market but still used occasionally
