OSRS 10 Best Early Goals for New Players

Introduction

If you have no idea what to do with your new members account, this should help as a guide for starting you out.

1. Unlocking Fossil Island

Fossil Island is good to unlock early because of lamps and fossil finds, allowing you to choose which skills you wish to level up. Birdhouses provide passive income. Ammonite crabs are great for AFK combat training, as they have more HP and have an excellent chance to drop fossils. Other useful early to mid-level features are volcanic ash mining, seaweed farming, killing lobstrosities, and the underwater Agility/Thieving training arena.

2. Achieving Level 32 Farming

At level 32 Farming, you can start farming ranarr, which is one of the easiest ways of earning coins steadily. Level 32 is the only requirement to farm ranarr; however, unlocking access to the herb patches require other things like the basic teleport spells, the ectophial (via completing Ghosts Ahoy), and completed My Arm’s Big Adventure. Ranarr farming can earn you 50,000-100,000 per farm run.

3. Unlocking Full Graceful Outfit

Wearing the full Graceful Outfit set restores your run energy 30% faster than normal. The best course to earn marks of grace early on is the Canifis Rooftop Course in Morytania. If you want to have the full Graceful set early, you can earn it in the Morytania course, or you can move on to the Seers’ Village course once you reach Agility level 60, if you are willing to wait.

4. Completing Early-game Quests

There are about 5-10 quests that are useful to complete early in the game. Some notable quests are

  • Waterfall Quest (Strength and Attack up to level 30 from level 1),
  • The Knight’s Sword Quest (up to level 29 Smithing from level 1),
  • Digsite Quest (up to 31 Mining from level 1),
  • Tree Gnome Village Quest
  • The Grand Tree Village (combat experience and other rewards).

5. Achieving Level 43 Prayer

By Prayer level 43, all overhead prayers have been unlocked

  • Protect from Magic at level 37,
  • Protect from Missiles at level 40
  • Protect from Melee at level 43

The easiest way to do this is to bury 200 or so dragon bones at a gilded altar in someone’s player-owned house. Another option is to unlock the Arceuus spellbook and kill reanimated monsters from ensouled heads. Yet another is to use the Ectofuntus.

6. Completing Fairytale I: Growing Pains

After completing Fairytale I, it is possible to start Fairytale II: Cure a Queen without having all the requirements. Once that Quest is completed up to a certain point, you can have access to the fairy ring teleport system.

It is the most extensive teleport system in the game, with fairy ring teleports in Morytania, Relleka, and various other places. This is worth doing as soon as possible.

7. Completing the Varrock Diaries

The Varrock diaries will unlock several things once completed, but the most useful one is getting noted battle staves from Zaff’s Superior Staffs. These staves are at a 1000-coin discount than when bought at the Grand exchange.

  • The easy Varrock diary will give 15 battle staves per day.
  • The medium Varrock diary will increase to 30 per day.
  • The hard diary will increase to 60, and the elite diary will increase to 120.

8. Starting the Barrows Gloves Quest Line (Recipe for Disaster)

The Barrows gloves are the best gloves for both ranged and Melee. Recipe for Disaster has many requirements to complete, but starting it is easy, and you can complete it bit by bit as you unlock the requirements.

9. Achieving Level 51 Magic

Level 51 Magic is important for unlocking the standard teleports. With this and the completion of Plague City, you will have unlocked the major teleports: Camelot teleport, Teleport to House, Falador Teleport, Lumbridge Teleport, Varrock Teleport, and Lumbridge Home Teleport. There are many ways to get to Magic level 51, and will not take long to do.

10. Completing the Ardougne Easy Diary

This will unlock the Ardougne Cape 1, which allows infinite teleportation to the monastery south of Ardougne. This is better than using the lever teleport in Edgeville and getting player-killed, and the requirements to complete the diary are low. Also useful for getting to Yanille/Nightmare Zone since it’s pretty close by.
